š¾ SARABI UPDATE ā ANOTHER $200.50 ADDED TO HER CARE š¾
Our sweet Sarabi was back at the vet today for another recheck, and unfortunately, that means another bill added to her ongoing medical expenses. ā¤ļøāš©¹(bill added in original comments)
Today she needed an office visit, new radiographs, and another bandage change so her healing can continue to be closely monitored.
It may not seem like a huge bill by rescue standards, but these repeat visits add up so quickly; especially when weāre already caring for so many animals. Sarabi deserves every bit of it, and weāre going to continue getting her exactly what she needs. š„¹ā¤ļø
If anyone can help us chip away at todayās $200.50 bill, even $5 makes a difference. And if donating isnāt possible, please share or bump this post so we can get Sarabiās story back into some feeds. š¾
Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, commented, or followed along with this girlās recovery. We truly couldnāt keep saying āyes we got youā to animals like Sarabi without you.
š SARABI NEEDS OUR HELP ā AND THIS TIME, WEāRE ASKING YOU FOR YOURS. š¾š
Some cats come into rescue carrying stories we wish they never had to live through.
Sarabi is one of them.
Sarabi came to us from a hoarding situation in Augusta, WV, extremely pregnant and barely more than a kitten herself. At just over one year old, this sweet girl had already experienced more than she ever should have. Shortly after coming into rescue, Sarabi gave birth to 8 kittens. Seven survived. š¤
She cared for those babies despite everything her little body had already endured. Now that her babies are safe, healthy and cared for, itās finally Sarabiās turn to be taken care of. Sarabi came to us with an injury to her rear paw, and veterinary X-rays revealed just how serious it is:
All FOUR metatarsal bones in her rear paw are broken.
She is currently in a splint and will require continued veterinary care over the next month, including repeated splint changes, follow-up appointments and additional X-rays to make sure those tiny bones are healing properly. And somehow, through all of this, Sarabi remains one of the sweetest, most loving little girls. She doesnāt know that her care is expensive. She doesnāt know how much sheās already been through.
She just knows that someone finally showed up for her.
Her initial veterinary visit alone was $708.39, and her care is far from finished. She has already needed another splint change and has more appointments ahead of her.
As a rescue, cases like Sarabiās are exactly why we existābut we simply cannot do it without our community.
If you are able to donate toward Sarabiās veterinary care, even $5 helps. $5, $10, $20āit adds up. Every single donation allows us to keep saying yes to cats like her.
If you arenāt able to donate, please share this post. A share costs nothing and could put Sarabiās story in front of someone who can help. Weāll be posting her veterinary invoices in the comments because we want everyone who supports our rescue to see exactly where your donations are going.
Sarabi spent the beginning of her life surviving.
We want the rest of it to be spent knowing what it feels like to be safe, loved, and finally cared for.
Thank you for helping us give her that chance.
