🎉FUN FACT FRIDAY🐶

Despite the name, the Black Russian Terrier isn’t a true terrier! This impressive breed was developed in the former Soviet Union as a strong, intelligent military and working dog.

- They can weigh well over 100 pounds.
- Their thick, tousled double coat requires regular brushing and professional grooming.
- They’re highly intelligent, confident and protective of their families.
- Several breeds helped create them, including the Giant Schnauzer, Rottweiler, Airedale Terrier and Newfoundland.

They’re sometimes nicknamed the “Black Pearl of Russia.”

They may look like giant fluffy teddy bears—but these powerful pups need training, exercise and plenty of socialization!

🐱 Fun Fact Friday! 👀

Have you ever seen a cat with two different-colored eyes? These beautiful felines are known as “odd-eyed” cats, and the condition is called heterochromia.
It happens when each eye receives a different amount of melanin—the pigment responsible for eye color. One eye is typically blue, while the other may be green, gold, amber or copper.
Heterochromia is most common in solid-white cats or cats with a lot of white coloring. When present from birth, it generally does not affect the cat’s eyesight or require treatment.
Some cats can even have two different colors within the same eye! How cool is that? 😻

Sherlock LOVES getting as dirty as possible , probably just so his mom has an excuse to bring him in for a makeover. And what a transformation! Although, let’s face it… it’s pretty easy to make Sherlock look good. He’s adorable to begin with.

The cats and I are hanging out on the lanai. I’m sippin’ espresso and catching up on my celebrity gossip , while the cats watch the squirrels have turf wars in the trees between the front and backyard. 🐿️🐈

Let’s Talk A**l Glands!😷🤢💩

Not the most glamorous topic… but an important one for dog owners!

Dogs have two small a**l glands located on either side of the a**s. Normally, they empty naturally during bowel movements, but sometimes they can become full, impacted, or infected.

Signs your dog may be having trouble:
• Scooting their bottom across the floor
• Excessive licking or chewing around the rear
• A strong “fishy” smell 🤢
• Straining or discomfort when pooping
• Redness, swelling, or bleeding

*WE DO NOT EXPRESS GLANDS UNLESS THE OWNER REQUESTS… DON’T BE
EMBARRASSED, YOU CAN EVEN CALL IT A “CuTe” NAME, POINT OR WHISPER IT TO US 🤪
