Dogs don’t just love their toys; they can show signs of addiction to them, experiencing obsession, cravings and withdrawal symptoms similar to humans with gambling problems, a study has found.

Canines can end up with an “excessive fixation on toys” that leads them to exhibit “addiction-like behavioural traits”, according to new research, with some referring to these dogs as “ball junkies”
