Your senior dog may be hearing less than they used to. 🐶💙

Age-related hearing loss is common and often develops gradually. You might notice your dog doesn't respond to their name, sleeps more deeply, startles more easily, or doesn't react to familiar sounds like the doorbell or squeaky toys.

If you've noticed changes in your dog's hearing or behavior, schedule a veterinary exam. Your veterinarian can help determine the cause and recommend ways to keep your dog safe, comfortable, and confident.

Training is one of the greatest gifts you can give your dog. 🐾 Not only does it build confidence and strengthen your bond, but it also helps keep them safe in everyday situations.

One of the most important skills is a dependable recall (“come”). Even if your dog usually listens, it’s safest to keep them leashed in unfenced or unfamiliar areas until they have a reliable recall, and remember, even well-trained dogs should stay leashed where local leash laws apply.

Acupuncture can be a gentle, complementary approach to supporting your pet’s comfort and overall well-being. 🐾💚

It may be incorporated into care plans for pets experiencing chronic pain or arthritis, recovering from surgery, or dealing with stress and anxiety.

Every pet is different, so our team can help determine whether acupuncture may be a good fit for your pet’s individual needs.

🐱 Cats are experts at hiding pain, so small behavior changes matter. Watch for hiding more than usual, reduced grooming, decreased appetite, litter box changes, irritability, or lower activity levels. Routine veterinary care supports early detection and pet wellness. Today is Hug Your Hound Day! 🐕 While some dogs love a cuddle, not every pup enjoys hugs. The best way to celebrate is by showing affection in the way your dog prefers, whether that's a favorite walk, a game of fetch, tasty treats, gentle pets, or quality time together. Celebrate the bond you share in a way that makes your best friend feel safe and loved! 🦴🐾
