to SARAH. 💕🎉 Usually I ask folks a couple of questions to share with y'all, but I decided it would be fun to dive deeper. Have FUN learning about SARAH and CELEBRATING this milestone! Patricia

1. What drew you you to working as a Cat Concierge at Purr & Pour (a fancy way of saying we respond to the cats' every whim and mess)? 😹
ANSWER: "I have experience working with kitties and wanted to continue working with them and want to help homeless animals find their furever homes. It is very fulfilling to know that at the end of the day, I have made a difference in their lives."

2. What's the most rewarding part about your job?
ANSWER: "The most rewarding part is seeing the animals that have waited the longest finally get their big day. Countless hours are spent socializing, caring, and making sure they stay healthy & up to date on their medical records and seeing them go home makes it all worth it."

3. If you could live anywhere, where would you live and why?
ANSWER: "Boston or Chicago. I'm a city girl who loves the four seasons! I've spent a decent amount of time in both and love them both equally. Endless things to do, public transit, and of course, incredible food."

4. What's your secret talent or superpower?
ANSWER: "I am proficient in multiple languages. I understand Japanese & Spanish the best, followed by Korean and French. I prefer Japanese the most due to spending a year in immersion school in Tokyo & taking upper division courses at university in it."

5. If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
ANSWER: "I'd probably eat dinner with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy (punk rock band). I've met him a couple times, and I'd think we'd geek out about music and Chicago together. He is such a cool dude."

6. What's the best vacation you've ever been on and why?
ANSWER: "When I went to China for two weeks junior year of high school. I visited Beijing, Shanghai, X'ian, and the most beautiful city in the world, in my opinion, Hangzhou. It opened my eyes to how big & different the world is, and motivated me to learn different languages."

7. What should people know about P&P?
ANSWER: "People should know that we are deeply passionate about helping our kitties find their perfect homes. Although we are a great place to hangout, we also do adoptions. A lot of people don't know that - if you fall in love, you absolutely can take a cat home with you! When you adopt, it creates space for more homeless kitties. That is a big part of what we do!"

What a difference a day (and a year) made in her life!!!! 💕💕💕Happy 1st Adoption CATiversary! 🎉 Help us write more updates by helping us increase ADOPTIONS. 💕 DUCHESS was adoption 481 and went from overlooked to cherished!! She's living her BEST life with kitty siblings, and Purr & Pour Cat Café alumni, Queenie and Georgie. DUCHESS, like a number of cats, needed a 🏡 where she felt SAFE and LOVED in order to blossom. 🌸 The largest photo (described below) is the most important in her journey. Here's an update from her FURever family:

"Duchess! Her one year anniversary and she's sleeping on my legs with her head on my feet"

Duchess took weeks to start coming out of her shell. 🐚 Thankfully, her parents had patient 💕 hearts, which respected the pace DUCHESS needed. Prayers 🙏 answered, she's fully part of the family. She also gets along great with QUEENIE and GEORGIE but I wanted this post to only showcase DUCHESS.

🎉 Help us write more updates by helping us increase ADOPTIONS. 💕 MIZ KITTY (previously Callie) was adoption 493 and is living her BEST life, which is a great relief because before adoption, she was abandoned outside when her previous family moved!! 😿 Here's an update from her FURever family:

"She's truly settled in and is just what we needed - her zoomies and play antics are really funny. She's the perfect lap-cat (loves my old rocking chair with me in it)! She comes when called, understands "no" and "off." Miz Kitty is generally nearly perfect - though she does like to sleep in the "butt in my face" position and we have to recalibrate during the night.

She chose this little box (photo) as her bed the day she moved in. Sleeps there now when she's not with me.

Thank you so much for taking her in and starting her journey to us. She's a delight and doing very well."
