Emancipet will be onsite next week with their mobile spay/neuter clinic, and there’s still time to sign up! (call or use the QR code on this flyer)

Next event: Wednesday 10/21

Please note: We’re simply hosting the event. We don’t manage scheduling, waitlists, remaining spots, or appointment changes. Emancipet handles all of that directly. We’re just providing a safe, secure space so they can bring affordable spay/neuter services to our community.

A huge THANK YOU to A+ Federal Credit Unionor bringing out a volunteer crew yesterday to help us clean kennels at WCRAS! 🧼🐶🐱

Shelter life is a team effort, and it takes a lot of helping hands to keep our pets happy, healthy, and comfortable while they wait for their next chapter. Our dogs and cats loved seeing your smiling faces, and our staff couldn’t be more grateful for the extra help!

Thank you, A+ FCU, for showing up for our shelter pets and making a difference right here in our community. We’re so glad to have you on our team! 🐾💛💜

Kitten season may be slowing down, but we still have a room full of tiny babies who need foster homes to help them grow, thrive, and get adoption‑ready. 💕

If fostering kittens has ever crossed your mind, today’s the perfect day to get started!

Even better, no forms needed ahead of time. Just drop by the shelter, chat with our team, and let them know you're interested in fostering baby kittens. We’ll guide you from there!

💛Thank you💜

This weekend reminded us just how special our community truly is. When the rain rolled in and our pets needed a safe place to land, our neighbors didn’t hesitate, they opened their homes and their hearts.

And among them were the incredible local businesses who stepped forward without a second thought, welcoming multiple pets from Red Poppy Adoptique and giving them comfort in an uncertain moment. Your kindness means more than we can say.

Thank you Zoot Pets
Thank you Firehouse Pet Resort - Round Rock
Thank you Playful Pack Dog Daycare & Boarding

🐶Pets of the Week🐱

Zelda💛
Zelda is a sweet, sensitive kitty who enjoys taking life at her own pace. She’s a big fan of cozy hideouts—her personal “box suite”—where she can watch the world and offer slow blinks to friends she’s getting to know. When she feels comfortable, she may come over for a little cheek rub or a soft meow hello.
Because of some stressful past experiences, Zelda can get worried if she feels cornered or surprised. She communicates clearly with gentle warning sounds to let you know she needs a little more space. With calm, patient people who move slowly and let her choose the level of interaction, she can show her curious and affectionate side.
Zelda is still getting settled and being monitored, but she’s a lovely cat who could thrive with someone who appreciates her gentle signals, respects her boundaries, and celebrates her small moments of trust.

Beck💜
Beck is full of enthusiasm and joy—he’s excited to see you, excited to play with toys, and excited for his walks! This handsome boy truly loves life and brings so much fun wherever he goes. He enjoys doing zoomies in the yard to get his energy out, then happily soaks up all the pets and love you have to give. Beck is ready to share his big heart and boundless energy with a family of his own!
This pet has an Adoption Angel, which means their adoption fee has been covered by a generous donation.

🪄Magicians and Musicians🎸… now that has a nice ring to it!

Get ready, because MAGIC HOUR is coming to this year’s Fur Ball! When we teased that Neon Moon would be a little mystical, a little cosmic, and a whole lot of country, we meant it.

We’re thrilled to welcome strolling magician John Carter, dazzling guests with mind‑bending magic throughout the first hour. And setting the soundtrack for our night of giving is Parker Jensen, bringing warm acoustic vibes as guests arrive.

This dynamic duo is the perfect way to kick off an unforgettable evening! So come early, check in, grab a drink, play some games, get mystified, and get ready to party in the glow of lifesaving!

✨ The magic starts the moment you walk in. Don’t miss it! ✨
