🎉 Meet Mary, our new Foster Community Supervisor! 🎉

We’re thrilled to have Mary on board and helping even more pets connect with foster homes throughout our community.

So, we've got a big goal this week: 25 dogs into foster homes! 🐾

Fostering is one of the most impactful ways you can help a shelter dog. Some time in a home gives dogs a chance to relax, recharge, and enjoy a break from kennel life. It also helps our team provide the best possible care for every remaining pet in our care.

And remember, fostering doesn’t have to be a long-term commitment. A weekend, a week, or longer can all make a tremendous difference for a shelter dog.

💜FOSTER NEEDED💛

Meet Alma, a sweet, bellyrub loving girl who’s having a tough time with shelter stress.

She’s so gentle and affectionate, but the kennel environment is overwhelming her, and she’s starting to rub her head and paws on her kennel walls, enough to cause small wounds. A quiet home would help her heal and decompress so much faster.

We’re urgently looking for a foster, even a weekend or a few days would make a huge difference. Longer stays are wonderful too of course!

We are not totally sure how she is with other pets. Many of our dogs come in with very little history, but if you have animals at home, we can arrange a meet‑and‑greet to see if it’s a good fit.

💛Current needs💜

Our second adoption location, Red Poppy Adoptique, is running low on dog treats, and our pups are noticing! Treats aren’t just for fun (though the tail wags are a huge bonus). We use them for training, enrichment, building confidence, and even helping dogs take their meds. With all of that, we go through treats quickly.

If you can help us restock the treat closet at RPA, we would be so grateful, and the dogs will be even more excited than we are.
