We provide care, shelter and adoption services for homeless animals in need, assist our community with animal-related concerns and promote responsible pet ownership. The shelter accepts dogs, cats, and other animals, by appointment only, from residents who have a current ID, within our city and county. We offer animals for adoption to the general public. Adoption fees: Dogs/Puppies $110 This inc

ludes spay/neuter, booster vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, heartworm test, fecal, flea treatment and microchip. Cats/Kittens $90 This includes spay/neuter, booster vaccine, rabies vaccine, combo test for feline leukemia and FIV, fecal, flea treatment and microchip. The shelter also partners with the Scott County Humane Society and multiple rescue organizations to find homes for animal in our care. We accept cash, checks, and cards. We accept monetary donations as well as items we use on a daily basis. We do have a wish list posted in "photos" on our FB page or we will email you one upon request. Our email is [email protected].

LOST around Mojave Trail in Indian Acres! "Victor" but really knows the name "Kitten", neutered male long haired black cat, declawed on the front and 100% an indoor cat! Unfortunately not wearing his collar when he slipped out yesterday. If you see or find this cat, please give us a call at 502-863-7897 and leave a message if after hours. His momma is worried sick!

‼These three cuties are in desperate need of your help‼
It is no secret that the shelter environment can be quite stressful and wear down dogs. Even though we give them lots of love and toys and outside time, it doesn't change the fact that they spend most of their day and night in a kennel😔 We typically are able to get dogs adopted out fairly quickly, but for some reason we cannot get these three adopted into a forever home despite our best attempts😭

💙Ash - This blue eyed beauty is a male Catahoula x Australian Shepherd that is only 10 months old. He is wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids. He is already housebroken, walks great on a leash, and already knows how to sit and lay down. Ash loves everyone he meets and has a very goofy personality. Ash was adopted for a day before he was returned because he wouldn't settle down. He didn't even get a chance😭 Between his two stays here Ash has been at the shelter for 7 weeks.

💚Baymax - This athletic boy is a 2yr old male Shepherd mix. Baymax is great with dogs, cats, an older kids. He is super smart and easy to train. He already knows how to walk on a leash, sit, and lay down. He loves to play fetch but not more than he loves spending time with his people. Baymax has been at the shelter for 7 weeks😢

💛Barnaby - This goofy goober is a 1yr old male Mountain Cur mix. Barnaby does great with dogs and cats. He loves to run around outside and play with his people. Barnaby is very treat motivated and easy to train. He has a very sunny and happy personality that will brighten everyone's day. Barnaby has been at the shelter for 4 weeks😔

If you are interested in adopting any of these precious babies you can apply to adopt them on our website. Or if you just want to brighten their day and play with them you can come in anytime Monday thru Friday 10am to 4pm to give them some love.

Titania and Oberon are friendly little babies who're still learning (but catching on fast!) that people are good and fun! This brother and sister pair came in together, and they're mostly content to lay back and survey their kingdom, but are opening up to showing signs of mischief!
