Brambles and Fern are two of our shy cats who are looking for their forever home. They’ve watched many cats go home and wonder when it will be their turn.
Brambles came to us as a month-old kitten. He is a timid little guy who is still finding his way in life. He resides in our cat room and gets along well with the other cats. Most of the time, he finds a quiet corner and keeps to himself. He hasn’t learned to fully trust humans yet and would prefer a home without young children or dogs. Brambles loves Churu treats, so offering them will likely help you earn his trust.
Fern is a beautiful young tabby who has seen a lot in her short life. She was living outdoors when she was rescued and is still learning to trust humans. She often acts like she wants attention but gets frightened if you try to pet her. She would do best in a home without young children or dogs. If she shares a home with another cat, that cat should be easygoing and respectful of her space as she settles in.
Brambles has been with us for almost a year, and Fern has been with for seven months. Because they aren’t outgoing, they are easy to overlook. People see “the shy cat” and move on to the louder, more confident ones. They need someone who can offer kindness, patience, and love while providing a home where they feel safe and secure. There may be a warm, loving kitty just waiting for the right person to help them come out of their shell.
Brambles and Fern are at the Humane Society office. The office is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
