💊💚 Happy Pharmacy Technician Day! 🐾

Today, we’re taking a moment to recognize Amanda and everything she does for CKVC. As our only pharmacy technician, she plays an important role in keeping our busy clinic running smoothly. We're incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and dedication she puts into her job.

Amanda, thank you for all the work you do behind the scenes. We know your job keeps you busy, and we hope you know how much you are appreciated. ❤️🐶🐱

🐾💚 Happy Vet Tech Week! 🩺🐶🐱

We’re so excited to celebrate our amazing veterinary technicians this week, but the truth is, we appreciate them every single day of the year!

There’s so much that goes into a day in the life of a vet tech that we could never fit it all into one post. From caring for patients and comforting worried pet parents to assisting with procedures, keeping things running behind the scenes, and jumping in wherever they’re needed, our team wears so many hats and does it all with so much heart. 🩺🐾

Veterinary medicine also comes with a whole range of emotions. There are joyful moments 🥹, heartbreaking ones 💔, stressful situations, and everything in between. Sometimes, our vet techs have to take a deep breath, process their own emotions, and keep going for the next patient who needs them. That takes a special kind of strength, compassion, and dedication, and it’s something we never want to take for granted.💚🐾

If you see one of our team members this week, be sure to wish them a Happy Vet Tech Week and let them know how much they’re appreciated! 🎉

That bowl of Halloween candy by the door is one of the biggest pet hazards of the season. Chocolate gets more dangerous the darker it is, and the xylitol in sugar-free gum and candy is the one most families overlook, even though a piece or two can crash a dog's blood sugar fast. At Central Kentucky Veterinary Center, we'd rather help you keep the candy out of reach than treat a poisoning, and the same goes for the lilies, antifreeze, and medications that put pets at risk the rest of the year. Learn what to store, what to watch for, and when to call on the blog.

Chocolate and xylitol top the Halloween candy dangers for pets, but lilies, antifreeze, and medications poison dogs and cats year-round.

💚🐾 Happy Boss’s Day! 🐾💚

Today, we’re celebrating Dr. Tritsch, Dr. Bollinger, and Dr. Fuller! 🎉

Each of these guys brings something special to Central Kentucky Veterinary Center. Thank you for everything you do, for the patience you show us, the hard work you put in, and all the little things you do that make CKVC what it is. We appreciate you more than you know! 💚

And yes, we know you’d all say we didn’t need to make a fuss over you today… but we’re going to anyway! 😉

🏆🐾 A Proud CKVC Moment!

Congratulations to GCHS Yarrow Venerie Ramblin Man “Rambo” (bred by Karan Aurelius & Pam Beale) on an incredible achievement!

This past weekend, Rambo won Best in Show at the Montgomery County Kennel Club All Terrier Show in Pennsylvania! 🏆 This renowned event draws outstanding terriers and top competitors, making this a wonderful accomplishment in the terrier show world.

Rambo was bred and born right here at Central Kentucky Veterinary Center, and we couldn't be prouder to see him thriving and achieving such incredible success!

A huge congratulations to everyone involved with Team Rambo! We can't wait to see what he accomplishes next. 💚🐾

🚧🐾 A heads-up for our CKVC clients!

We wanted to give you a little advance notice that there are plans in the works to shift traffic patterns at the entrance to Southgate Drive from Lexington Road.
At this time, we don’t have all of the details yet, including exactly what the changes will look like or when construction is expected to begin. We’ll be sure to share more information as it becomes available.

In the meantime, CKVC is open, and it’s business as usual! 🐾💚
