🎶 Introducing our Greased Lightning litter! 🐾⚡

Lily’s F1 Cavapoos are officially ONE WEEK OLD! They’re growing like weeds—now just a little bigger than a stick of butter and weighing a little more than one, too! 🧈💕 All seven puppies are thriving, and we’re soaking up every tiny snuggle.

Meet Sandy, Rizzo, Frenchie, Cha Cha, Danny, Kenickie, and Sonny! 🎀🕶️

We’ll be reaching out to families on our reservation list this weekend to begin the selection process. We’ll also share individual pictures with each puppy’s name and color so you can meet the whole crew!

✨ Lily’s F1 Cavapoos are HERE! ✨

Our newest little McDoodles started making their grand entrance just after midnight this morning! 🐶💕

Lily welcomed 7 beautiful babies — 3 boys and 4 girls! 🎀💙

We are incredibly blessed that every puppy in this litter is spoken for! 🥰

If you’re one of the families on our waitlist for this litter, we’ll be reaching out over the next week to touch base and begin the exciting process of matching families with their puppies. ❤️

For now, Mama Lily, her babies, and the humans are going to get a little much-needed rest and spend some quiet time bonding.

🐾 F1, F1B, F2, F2B… what does it all mean? 🐾

If you’ve been researching Cavapoos, you’ve probably seen all the letters and numbers and wondered, Which generation is which? 🤔

Here’s a quick guide to help make sense of it! 💙

🐶 F1 — Cavalier King Charles Spaniel × Poodle
🐶 F1B — F1 Cavapoo × Poodle
🐶 F2 — F1 Cavapoo × F1 Cavapoo
🐶 F2B — F2 Cavapoo × Poodle
🐶 Multigen — Cavapoos bred across multiple generations

But here’s something important: generation alone doesn’t tell you exactly what a puppy’s coat, shedding, appearance, or temperament will be like. Genetics matter! 🧬 Even puppies within the same litter can inherit different combinations of traits.

At McDoodles of Texas, we look beyond the generation label. We consider the parents, genetics, health testing, temperament, structure, and the qualities we hope to produce in each pairing. ❤️

Because at the end of the day, we aren’t just breeding for a label—we’re working toward healthy, happy Cavapoos who make wonderful family companions.

🐾 Another great event at one of our favorite local pet stores—Pupology! 🐾

Today had an extra special bonus: a fundraiser and meet-and-greet with livinggracecanineranch Living Grace Canine Ranch. ❤️🐶 We loved getting to learn more about the wonderful work they do for dogs in need.

Of course, we couldn’t visit Pupology Pupology without bringing a few pups along! They got to mingle, make some new friends, and—most importantly—help us test out a few new treats and foods. 😋 We also stocked up on some supplements for our mama-to-be as we get closer to welcoming puppies! 🐾🍼

We absolutely love supporting local businesses, and Janet and the crew at Pupology are amazing. They truly understand pet nutrition and are always so helpful when it comes to finding the right products for our dogs.

Our sweet Lily had her puppy-count X-ray, and now the countdown is officially ON! 🐶🐶🐶

Dr. Chang thinks these little ones could make their grand entrance as early as Sunday night, but really, anytime between now and next weekend is right within Lily’s expected window.

The puppy supplies are ready, the whelping area is set up, and now we wait. 💗

We absolutely cannot wait to meet these sweet little F1 Cavapoos and watch Lily become a mama again. 🥰

🇰🇷✈️ Our Korean import stud is FINALLY here! 🐩💙

Meet Hyeseong Kim, call name Comet! ☄️

This tiny guy is a whopping 3.5 pounds of pure snuggles and love, and we are already completely smitten. 🥰 Comet made the long journey from Korea and, after being picked up from cargo yesterday, passed his vet check with flying colors! 🩺✅

Now comes the next big step—we wait for his DNA results to come back so we can determine what the future holds for this handsome little guy and our program. 🧬🐾

Of course, no Texas welcome would be complete without a stop at Buc-ee’s! 🤠🦫 Comet got his first official Texas road-trip experience on the way home.

It was a LONG day—about 24 hours of travel for Comet and 14 hours on the road for me! A huge thank you to my ride-or-die road trip buddy, Amy , for making this crazy adventure with me. ❤️ There is nobody I’d rather spend 14 hours in the car with to go pick up a 3.5-pound dog! 😂

And Indiana Jones (Indy) got to come along for the adventure too! 🐶 He made the trip extra productive by completing more of his health testing and passing his OFA patella, heart, and dentition evaluations! 🎉👏

Two handsome boys, one very long road trip, a Buc-ee’s stop, and lots to celebrate. ❤️
