This week has been… well, a week. Between a feed mini crisis (everyone is totally okay! 😅), mission trip prep, side jobs, and family events, we are exhausted.

After sweating in the sun moving animals back and forth and cleaning, I sat down for a second to catch up on messages. This photo popped up, and instantly I thought, “Man, I wish I could be back there again.”

But while that’s still true 😂, I also remembered thinking at the end of that trip, “Man, I’m ready to get home now.”

And somehow, a little life lesson crept into an unexpected moment:
“Be happy where you are, Kyla.”

Because although I’m exhausted, physically and mentally drained, and honestly close to a breakdown right now, I also know one day I’ll miss the hustle of the animals, the bread coming out of the oven, and all the orders to fill.

If anyone else needed to hear this, great. If not… here you go anyway 😂 It definitely encouraged me to pick up my pity party and keep going.

Animals depend on me, people depend on me, and I depend on myself. That’s enough motivation to last a lifetime 🩵
