🎀 A Special Announcement from Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic 🎀

We are so excited to share some wonderful news with our CVC family!

On July 1 at 1:56pm, Dr. Biddle and her husband welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Andersyn Jo Clifford, into the world! Mom and baby are both happy, healthy, and doing well.

Dr. Biddle will be taking the summer off to enjoy this precious time with her newest little assistant and soak up all the newborn snuggles. We know many of you have asked about her, and we appreciate your patience and well wishes during this special time.

Our team is here to continue providing the same compassionate care for your pets while Dr. Biddle is away, and we look forward to welcoming her back in the fall.

Please join us in congratulating Abbey and Lincoln and the rest of their family on their newest addition! 👶

🚨Rabies in Scott County 🚨

A skunk recently tested positive for rabies in Stamping Ground. Although rabies is rare, it is still out there and it is a FATAL disease.
Please make sure your pets are up to date on their rabies vaccine. Rabies is considered a core vaccine for horses as well. We also have rabies vaccines available for livestock such as cattle, sheep and goats.
Rabies is a viral infection spread through the saliva of an infected mammal. The most common vectors in Kentucky include bats and skunks, but any mammal can contract and spread rabies. Symptoms vary but generally include neurologic and behavioral changes.

WEDCO District Health Department is notifying the public that a skunk has tested positive for rabies after being found in Stamping Ground, Kentucky on July 7, 2026.

🐐❤️ Case Spotlight | Pesto & Ivy

At Commonwealth Veterinary Clinic, every patient benefits from the dedication of an entire team and sometimes, the generosity of another patient.

When Ivy came to CVC critically ill, it was determined she urgently needed a blood transfusion. Because healthy goat blood donors aren't something we keep on hand, we reached out to one of our wonderful clients in hopes of finding a match.

Without hesitation, "Pesto" answered the call.

Thanks to Pesto's brave blood donation and the quick work of Dr. Biddle, our veterinary extern Andie, and the entire CVC team, Ivy received the transfusion she desperately needed.

Today, we're happy to report that Ivy made a full recovery and is back home doing well! 💙

A huge thank you to Pesto and her family! Pesto enjoyed a special post-donation treat, a bowl of Frosted Flakes.
