The cat is out of the bag! (Or the poodle is out of the purse? *Insert dog version of the phrase hereš¤£)
Citrus K9 Dog Grooming was voted first place in Best of Lexington 2026!
Thank you to each and every person who voted for my grooming business for Best of Lex! It means such a great deal that I have such wonderful, caring, and supportive clients and dog community backing me and my dreams on my career path.
To celebrate, my own girls and I had an Audrey Hepburn themed photo shoot, recreating a famous picture of her with two poodles (or as close as I can recreate it. Iām no Audrey!). This is just a taste of all the wonderful pictures we got from the lovely Amy Bayle ! Iāll be posting them all eventually: donāt worry! But for now, I just want to thank everyone who supports myself and my business.
For those who may not know, I fell into dog grooming pretty accidentally. I went to college for my digital art, then changed majors to biology with the eventual plan to go to optometry school. Getting my bachelorās, I got Penguin, my girl, and taught myself to groom her. The rest is history. I decided to pursue dog grooming full time/permanently after what was supposed to just be my gap year before grad school. Itās crazy to think thereās a universe that I chose not to pursue dog grooming when it marries all my interests into one; art and working with my hands, biology and anatomy, dogs and dog training! Even education, which I have big dreams and ambitions to do more of. I want to be able to teach other groomers in the industry as well and share my love for this wonderful career and art form of mine.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my lovely Citrus K9s. Iām deeply honored and greatly touchedššš©
