This gelding will also be relisted on our website by the end of the day today!

We are being particular about where he ends up, as we are hoping for a semi-retirement home for him.

He does require a bit of maitenance to keep showing WT Ranch.

He absolutely LOVES to trail ride and we'd really like to find a moreso leasure trail riding home for him! He's earned it!

All of his information in depth will be on our website.

We have had many people ask about using him as a lesson horse or for jumping - we used to use him in our lesson program but it became too much for him, and no he will absolutely NOT go over any sort of jumps...

Please read his full ad online before contacting us.

People say they want cheap food.
•Cheap burgers
•Cheap steak
•Cheap milk
•Cheap eggs

Cheap always comes with a cost, and that cost has been the drastic loss of the American farmer.

For decades, farmers have been squeezed from every direction.
•Fuel costs rise.
•Feed costs rise.
•Fertilizer costs rise.
•Equipment costs rise.
•Land prices rise.
•Insurance rises.
•Taxes rise.

Meanwhile, in most cases, the farmer is expected to sell everything at wholesale while buying almost everything at retail.

Think about that last sentence for a second. Don’t skip over it, let that sink in.

A new cattle farmer may spend years building infrastructure:
•Building fences
•Buying feed
•Building handling facilities
• Improving pasture
• And countless other improvements

…….all before even seeing a paycheck for all the work put in. This here is why the farms we have lost will not be replaced. It’s simply too expensive to start for young farmers.

Meanwhile a large part of other farmers are aging out.

I personally don’t see how the cattle industry can improve itself. We are at the smallest herd size since the 50’s in the US. We have extremely high beef demand but not the cattle to meet that demand.

People see the final beef price and think the farmer is getting rich. Most small farms are simply trying to survive and try to grow a little in the process. Surviving and growth both take extremely high input costs. As well as countless man hours.

Industrial food systems trained Americans to expect food to be cheap at any price. Right now we are paying that price for undervaluing the American farmer.

Each year, more small farms disappear because
the math no longer works.

You cannot demand:
•Local food
•American-raised beef
•Higher animal welfare
• Healthier food
•Sustainable farming

…….while also demanding the absolute cheapest price possible.

Cheap food has never really been cheap. The true costs was just pushed onto the people producing it.

I will end with this. I was watching an interview a couple days ago. The person being interviewed was predicting $10 pound ground beef by the 3rd quarter of 2026. He believed this price would not level out till sometime in 2027.

This is a problem that has been decades in the making. It’s not going to fix itself quickly….if a fix is even possible.

***Edit to add - We've received MANY inquiries all looking for a show horse. We are more so looking for a semi-retirement life for Linkin where he can enjoy more trail or leisurely riding outside than he does as a show horse. He thoroughly enjoys trail riding. He has become a little sour to riding in indoor arenas - this issue started over the past year.

This is a very bittersweet sale ad for us to write...

Our "golden boy" is ready for his next & hopefully final home where he can enjoy a bit of a slow down! đź’›

"AintNoHolywoodCowboy"
2013 AQHA Gelding
By Hollywoodstinseltown (NRHA $2.5 million dollar sire)
Out of West Coast Bay (A top producing mare by West Coast Whiz NRHA Million Dollar sire x Topsail Whiz NRHA $7 million sire)

Just about everyone in the surrounding area knows this boy and his accomplishments in the ranch horse!

We are looking for the PERFECT home for him and will be very particular about where he ends up. He has been the absolute best partner for his owner for the past 5 years, but she is ready to step up, meanwhile he is ready for a bit of a slow down.

His accomplishments are endless...
Countless buckles, champion awards, year end awards. 2022 AQHA Congress competitor consistently marking 72+ in the RR.
2023 AQHA World Show Qualifier in the Senior RR and WWR.
Highest marking score I've ever personally received on a horse in the Senior RR - 82.5!!🌟
Consistent RR scores 73+.
Countless Palomino association points.
Halter champion out of 25+ horses in Syracuse at the Big Apple.
This is a horse that has won so much I have quite frankly lost track.

He has been consistently showing WT Ranch events the past 3 years.

This horse is the definition of "broke to death." Work cows, go for a day long trail ride, pony young colts, put your grandkids on him, leave him in the stall for 2 months then pull him out and take him to a show and he'll ride the same.

As most aged horses, the daily demands of a horse show routine are no longer suitable for him. The best fit for him would be someone looking for a broke, broke horse to enjoy at a slower pace - trail riding, fun clinics, sorting cows for fun, the occasional weekend show, etc.

I have put someone on him before with 0 riding experience, tied the reins together, packed him along on a group trail ride with 0 issues.

If you scroll through our Facebook photos and videos, you will find HUNDREDS of posts about him.

He does require maitenance - injections and shoeing. If you cannot maintain his needs do not bother contacting us. He has received the utmost care while in our program.

There is more that can be discussed about him in detail to serious buyers.
