Grapes, raisins, and even currants can be more dangerous to dogs than most pet parents realize. Even only a few grapes have been linked to sudden kidney failure that may not show up for days, and homegrown or organic grapes carry the same risk.

Veterinary medicine hasn't pinpointed why some dogs react and others don't, or confirmed what makes grapes so toxic, which is exactly why any known ingestion is treated as a potential emergency, not just the large ones.

Next time you stop in we will be missing a friendly furry face at the front desk. Lilo has made her journey across the rainbow bridge after fighting her battle with cancer. While she will mostly be remembered as the “fake” cat in the box telling you farewell or comforting you as you grieved that loss of your own pet, she was always so much more to us.

A little appreciation post for those unknown heroes!
This past weekend our amazing, and very brave, clinic dog Jose donated blood for a blood transfusion! How lucky are we to have this amazing dog as part of our team here at Garrison!
And don't worry, he got all the love and treats we could offer afterwards! 🐾🥰
