🐾 MEET BOO — LOOKING FOR HIS FUREVER HOME! 🐾
📍 Dallas, Texas
🏡 Available for ADOPTION OR FOSTER

This sweet little face belongs to Boo, and we honestly can't understand how anyone could have left him behind.

Boo is an incredibly sweet, gentle and playful young boy who loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and is VERY fond of cheese. 🧀❤️

And yes, there’s a reason he’s always squinting.

Boo was born without pigment around his eyes, which makes bright sunlight uncomfortable for him. He needs to be primarily an indoor dog and should not have prolonged UV exposure.

Because he’s always peeking out at the world through those squinty little eyes, we named him Boo — short for Peek-a-Boo. 🥹

But Boo’s story almost had a very different ending.

He was abandoned near White Rock Lake, in an area known for dogs being dumped. Someone posted on Facebook about a little white puppy who had been outside for approximately three days in 108° Texas heat, seemingly waiting for someone to come back for him.

When Ryder’s Rescues heard about him, we went looking.

We found Boo lying in someone’s yard.

The moment we got out of the car and whistled, he jumped up and came running straight toward us, tail wagging.

He didn't know us.

He just knew somebody had finally come for him. 💔

We brought Boo home, gave him food, water, a cool place to rest and, most importantly, somewhere he could finally feel safe.

Once he realized he didn't have to keep waiting anymore, this exhausted little puppy slept almost 36 hours continuously while he recovered.

And then we got to meet the real Boo.

A goofy, affectionate, playful little boy who loves other dogs, loves being around people and just wants to belong to somebody.

❤️ Boo deserves a family who will never make him wonder if they're coming back.

Ryder’s Rescues is a brand-new rescue in the Dallas area, and Boo is only our second rescue dog. Because we're currently able to house only one rescue at a time, finding Boo his forever home doesn't just change Boo's life...

It opens a spot for us to save the next dog who's still out there waiting.

🐾 Interested in adopting or fostering Boo?
Please message Ryder’s Rescues.

Can't adopt? PLEASE SHARE BOO'S STORY. A share costs nothing, but it could be the reason Boo's future family sees him.

Let's find Peek-a-Boo his forever home. 🏡❤️🐾

🐾 Introducing Ryder’s Rescues 🐾
Saving Lives. Giving Hope. Honoring Ryder.

Today, we are incredibly proud to officially announce Ryder’s Rescues.

Ryder’s Rescues was created in memory of our beloved Golden Retriever, Ryder, whose life left a permanent mark on our family. After losing him to cancer, we knew that if we could turn even a small part of that loss into a second chance for another dog, Ryder’s legacy could continue.

Our mission is simple:
Find dogs sitting on euthanasia lists with their time running out, get them to safety, and give them the chance to find the family they were supposed to have.

We are starting small. We aren't a huge shelter with dozens of kennels or a large staff. Right now, our focus is doing what we can, one dog at a time.
Because to the one dog we save, that second chance is everything.

❤️ Danny was our beginning.
Danny, a young Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, found himself in a shelter with his time almost gone.
Only about an hour before he was scheduled to be euthanized, Danny walked out of that shelter alive.
The dog who left was frightened and unsure of the world around him. But with patience, kindness and a safe place to decompress, we watched his real personality emerge.
Danny learned to trust. He discovered belly rubs. He played with other dogs. He learned what it felt like to be safe.
And eventually, that scared shelter dog started smiling.
Danny reminded us why Ryder’s Rescues needed to exist.
There are more Dannys sitting in shelters right now — wonderful dogs whose lives may come down to whether somebody sees them before the clock runs out.
We want to be somebody who sees them.

🐕 Our logo is more than a logo.
If you look closely at Ryder in our logo, you'll notice that his portrait is made from hundreds of tiny photographs of dogs.
Those pictures represent what we hope Ryder’s Rescues can become.
Our goal is to eventually replace every single photograph in that mosaic with the face of a real dog that Ryder’s Rescues helped save from a euthanasia list.
One photograph at a time.
One empty spot replaced.
One life saved.
Someday, we hope to look at this logo and see Ryder surrounded by hundreds of dogs who got to grow old, sleep on couches, play in backyards, celebrate birthdays and know what it feels like to belong to a family — simply because someone gave them one more chance.
That's the legacy we want to build in Ryder's name.

🐾 Want to help us save the next one?
Every rescue comes with expenses — shelter fees, transportation, veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, food and everything else necessary to get a dog healthy, safe and ready for a forever home.
We've created a GoFundMe for Ryder’s Rescues for anyone who would like to help us continue this mission.
No donation is too small. Every dollar helps us be ready when we see another dog whose clock is running out.
And if you're unable to donate, sharing our story and our GoFundMe can be just as valuable. The person who sees your share may be the person who helps us save our next dog.

❤️ Help Ryder’s Rescues Save Lives:
Donate to Ryder’s Rescues on GoFundMe
We know we can't save every dog.
But we can save the next one.
And then we'll try to save another.
Welcome to Ryder’s Rescues. 🐾❤️@
