We are delighted to inform everyone that the physical location of East to West Coast Grooming has officially closed its doors indefinitely as of Saturday August 6th 2022. We know this may come as a shock to a lot of our clientele but when one door closes another opens itself!

We are beyond excited for what the future holds for all of our Groomers! We will be personally reaching out to all of our future appointments to speak one on one with each Client of East to West Coast Grooming! We want to thank the community for the loyalty everyone has shown over the last 6 years and words can not describe how appreciative we are!

We know this announcement is sudden but in order for us to move forward with our future plans we had to make a quick decision and this was the best strategic approach. We apologize for any inconvenience this may bring you but we promise you this decision will be well worth it.

Groomers are becoming a rare breed and have been for years. With the lack of groomers in this community preservation of all groomers is essential. Groomers must adapt with the times. So as we say goodbye to East to West Coast Grooming we aren’t saying goodbye to the groomers.

We can’t wait to spread the word on what their next adventure will bring to this community! Stay tuned and keep following as East to West Coast Grooming will be dropping hints, on behalf of the Groomers, along the way.

It’s that time of year again! Everyday until August 21st you cna vote for the best of Carson Valleys! We are working on our 6th year in a row and our success has always been from our wonderful clients!

Heads up, two long hair German Shepard’s , one black, one tri color, running down Lyell way, towards James, by aspen park, attacking anyone or thing they come across, just had to rescue a young lady who was cornered by them in front of the aspen park entrance off of lyell way. Get your pets and children inside! These dogs are NOT friendly!!! Police have been informed!

Due to the high increase in clientele East to West Coast Grooming is looking for a bather to add to our amazing team! This position is the first stepping block to having a dream job working with animals every day and there is a huge potential for growth!

East to West Coast Grooming Bathers are responsible for providing professional grooming services for our clients four legged family members; using the knowledge of canine characteristics, grooming styles and techniques in a high quality environment.

As an Employee of East to West Coast Grooming you will have the below Responsibilities:

Deliver HIGH QUALITY customer satisfaction

Answer phone professionally and schedule appointments

Book appointments and greet pets as they come in with our standardized check in process

Follow bathing/grooming procedures as outlined

Clean ears, clip nails and perform other needed services

Adhere to customer instruction of clipping pattern desired

Talk to dog, or use other non-physical techniques to keep dog calm

Complete and maintain customer and company forms

Properly and completely fill out required grooming forms

Observe all safety rules and procedures and adhere to safety standards

Sweep, vacuum, clean and sanitize tubs and other cleaning as needed to maintain standards

Assisting Groomers as needed l

Qualifications: qualifications below are preferred however we do have an on the job training program that will properly develop anyone interested in starting in the trade.

Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience grooming/styling pets. Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats. WILL TRAIN the right candidate!

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: None

Other knowledge, skills or abilities:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have reliable transportation

Communicate effectively with customers
Display compassion with animals and treat them accordingly

Exhibit attention to detail

Read, write, and count to accurately complete all documentation

Lift and carry pets generally weighing 0-50 pounds

Work varied hours, days and weekends as business needs dictate

Stand and walk for long periods of time

Safely work around pets and pets waste
