🍂🐴 October Saratoga + Vermont Service Dates 🐴🍂

We’re looking forward to being back up north and seeing as many of you and your horses as we can!

📍 Saturday, October 10
Bennington, VT / Hoosick Falls, NY
Keith and I will both be seeing horses in the area. If you’d like to be added to the day, please reach out!

📍 Tuesday, October 13
Colchester + St. Albans, VT
Keith will be seeing horses in Northern Vermont.

📍 Wednesday–Thursday, October 14–15
Saratoga Area
Keith will be back in Saratoga for appointments before heading home Friday.

Have something you’ve been meaning to revisit? An unresolved question you’d like fresh eyes on? Vaccinations or routine care due? Or maybe you’d simply like to check in on something before winter?

We’d love to hear from you. 🐴

We’re also excited to offer Telehealth appointments for our established clients. While in-person care is always preferred when appropriate, we know it isn’t always possible or necessary.

A structured Telehealth appointment gives you dedicated time with Keith, with me joining when helpful, to review your horse’s history, photos or videos, answer questions, and thoughtfully determine next steps.

💻 Telehealth appointments: $75 for up to 25 minutes

If you’d like to be added to our list for any of these dates, send us a message or reach out directly. We’ll do our best to coordinate everyone as efficiently as possible.

We can’t wait to see you and your horses! 🤍🐴

Supporting Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, Inc. felt right from the moment Bogatch Equine left the gate last spring. 🐎

Keith spent years caring for Thoroughbreds at Belmont Park and Saratoga Race Course, so continuing to care for them off the track through our own private practice means a great deal to us. Their value certainly doesn’t end at the finish line — and neither should the care they receive!

And that’s exactly why THS matters so much to us.

They give OTTBs who worked hard in their younger years a beautiful next chapter — one where the pace slows, the stopwatch is put away, and fields, forage, and friends take center stage. And simply by being themselves, they bring comfort, calm, and connection to people whose own care and dignity matter too.

This is the kind of work we will always be proud to stand behind, and we are so honored and grateful to be part of their equine care team. 🐴❤️🩺

And DANG, do they know how to throw a party!!! 🥳

This year’s benefit concert featuring Phillip Phillips was a wildly great time. I’m still singing in my head and dancing in my heart — and there’s a little evidence of that near the end of this video. 🎶💃

If you haven’t checked out Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga yet, please do. And if you’ll be around for their 2027 benefit concert, consider this your sign to go — you won’t be disappointed!!

The closest we will ever get to seeing Dr. Bogatch on a horse....and at The Hampton Classic Horse Show! 🤩😂

Such a fun day yesterday celebrating our friends HorseAbility and The Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities (LIHSSRD) while also representing Long Island University College of Veterinary Medicine at the Hampton Classic Animal Adoption Day.

One more week in Saratoga! ☀️🐴

Dr. Bogatch is back at White Hollow Farm / Saratoga Horse Shows this week for his final scheduled stretch as the competition veterinarian for the 2026 season.

He’ll be in the vet tent for the Saratoga Summer Horse Show, August 12–16, ready to help with whatever veterinary needs come up throughout the week — and this week he’ll also be joined by another fantastic group of eager-to-learn fourth-year LIU College of Veterinary Medicine students completing their clinical rotations. 🩺🐴

And hopefully, you won’t need him! But if you’re showing this week, stop by and say hello anyway — we’d love the chance to meet you and your horse! ❤️

🐎❤️ Love a retired Thoroughbred?

All of our patients are special to us, but retired Thoroughbreds hold a unique place in our hearts.

We have the privilege of working alongside incredible owners and caretakers who invest tremendous time, patience, and love into helping these remarkable horses thrive. We have also been heartbroken and deeply humbled by the dedication of clients who warmly welcome Thoroughbreds in need into their lives and commit themselves to helping them heal, grow, and remember just how good life can be.

If you love a retired Thoroughbred, or have friends who do, please take a few minutes to complete the Thoroughbred traceability survey before June 30. Supporting positive outcomes for all OTTBs starts with understanding where they are and how they are doing.

Make sure your Thoroughbred is counted! Take a few minutes to complete the traceability survey. Your participation makes a real difference in understanding where these horses are and will help us to improve outcomes for retiring Thoroughbreds.

Already reported your horse? Share or tag a friend who should too!

Deadline to report is June 30!

Dr. Bogatch and fourth-year LIU College of Veterinary Medicine students have been spending the week at White Hollow Farm in Saratoga Springs, where Keith is serving as the official veterinarian for the current USEF competition.

One of the lessons we hope these students take with them from their equine ambulatory clinical rotation:

The farrier is your friend!

Farriers are not just responsible for trimming and shoeing feet. They are invaluable members of the horse's healthcare team, and some of the best outcomes happen when veterinarians and farriers work together.

A special thank you to Olin Ellsworth for sharing his time and expertise with us! We deeply value the knowledge, professionalism, and horse-first perspective he brings to every horse he works with. Olin is a strong advocate for veterinarian–farrier collaboration, and we always enjoy working alongside him both in and out of the show ring.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help future veterinarians see these relationships in action.

As we continue to reflect on Belmont Stakes weekend, our thoughts keep returning to the remarkable way horses bring people together.

The relationships Keith built on the backstretch, through hard work, shared experiences, and a shared love of the horse, helped shape the path that ultimately led to Bogatch Equine and are forever woven into our story.

We're incredibly grateful to Tom Morley for these kind words and for the trust he placed in Keith over the years.

Thank you, Tom. It means more than you know!

As the racing world celebrates Belmont Stakes Day, we're reflecting on the relationships that helped shape the foundation of Bogatch Equine.

Before launching our own practice, Keith spent more than 17 years caring for Thoroughbred athletes and supporting trainers throughout Belmont Park, Saratoga Racecourse, and Aqueduct Racetrack.

This video was recorded just over a year ago and remains one of the greatest professional compliments we've ever received.

Thank you, Linda, for your trust, friendship, and support over the years.
