This is not the ending to Sassy's breeding career that we ever wanted.

We are so incredibly devastated to say that Sassy's perfect, spunky daughter passed away at Kstate today. We noticed as soon as we got home from the Heartland show that something was wrong and so we loaded her up and got her to the KSU hospital at 1am that night where she was found to have some kind of GI block. She improved tremendously with fluids and pain meds overnight and through the next two days and we were planning on picking her up the tomorrow only for her to colic again this morning. Upon further diagnostics there was indication of a congenital/neurological disorder preventing her GI tract from functioning properly and the decision to euthanize her had to be made. This was not a genetic disorder, there was simply just something that did not connect properly in her development.

In ten years of breeding, we've been very lucky that this is only the second cria we have lost but nothing will ever make it easier. We were so excited about this beautiful girl who loved her back scratches so much. She was the very last baby we will ever have out of Needmor's Call Me Sassy and the only girl Sassy blessed us with. And if you know me you know I love a PBL and this girl was a perfect brown llama. Losing this girl feels very similar to losing her big brother Simba all over again.

This baby was so full of life and energy in those first eight days of her life and we are so greatful for that tiny bit of time we had with her.

we LOVE when our babies go to such great homes

Thank you Jessica Keeney and Jason Keeney for giving our boys a loving new family- this is exactly what Alyssa Jensen and I hope for when we sell.

MAL Glaceon and Call My Name ARR seem to have settled in beautifully and look like they are definitely going to be promising Halter and Performance Geldings

We are so excited to watch what they will go on to do!

These Two Handsome Fellas are hoping to find a new zipcode come the end of November.

Call My Name ARR (Meeko)

The all white* when hes clean😭🤣 he is out of Needmor’s Call Me Sassy and RGA Mach’s Desert Prince. He has that Argentine Temperament and a sleek look. He would make a fantastic PR, Performance partner and is very willing (he will be a non-breeder with requirement of gelding at the appropriate age.)

MAL Glaceon (Glacier)

The white and tan, he is out of MAL Eevee with a STRONG dam/granddam line, and Coaty’s Maiyan Calendar ARR (a PH Coat of Many Colors son and a Silver Moon Chiri Alluro grandson) come with a power packed pedigree, beautiful fiber and the solid bone to support it all. This guy could make a STRONG Herdsire but will also have the option of a non-breeder price.

These boys would go great together and would be our preference. But will also be available separately.
