I could not be more stoked to share the latest update from Mythical Acres Llamas and Aspen Rayne Ranch.

We really could not have selected a better female to join our shared foundation. CVLR Trina has produced three Cria (with an extremely anticipated pairing cooking for this winter) and, as of today, ALL THREE have been awarded at least one Best In Show!!

CVLR Silverton- owned by Heroes and Friends Farm
CVLR Thunder- owned by Hog City Farms
CVLR Lady of Caraverre (owned by us)

Trina, and her daughter Cara, have us so very excited as our shared herd continues to prove what we can accomplish together.

Thank you to Brianna Pautz for showing her today
And Thank you again and over and over to Andrea Johnson for knowing what she means to me and giving us this opportunity.

This is not the ending to Sassy's breeding career that we ever wanted.

We are so incredibly devastated to say that Sassy's perfect, spunky daughter passed away at Kstate today. We noticed as soon as we got home from the Heartland show that something was wrong and so we loaded her up and got her to the KSU hospital at 1am that night where she was found to have some kind of GI block. She improved tremendously with fluids and pain meds overnight and through the next two days and we were planning on picking her up the tomorrow only for her to colic again this morning. Upon further diagnostics there was indication of a congenital/neurological disorder preventing her GI tract from functioning properly and the decision to euthanize her had to be made. This was not a genetic disorder, there was simply just something that did not connect properly in her development.

In ten years of breeding, we've been very lucky that this is only the second cria we have lost but nothing will ever make it easier. We were so excited about this beautiful girl who loved her back scratches so much. She was the very last baby we will ever have out of Needmor's Call Me Sassy and the only girl Sassy blessed us with. And if you know me you know I love a PBL and this girl was a perfect brown llama. Losing this girl feels very similar to losing her big brother Simba all over again.

This baby was so full of life and energy in those first eight days of her life and we are so greatful for that tiny bit of time we had with her.

Sleep easy baby Emma❤️❤️❤️
