Jovi came to Garber Shelter back in August after his owner went to a nursing home. It took months of transition from an initial hunger strike, not coming out of the doghouse, no eye contact, to finally eating out your hand, enjoying being petted, and walking on a leash to where he then could be moved to boarding. Jovi finally found rescue! He is in a home based facility for older dogs where he receives constant love and attention from volunteers and a trainer who are all working to help him start a new life in finding a forever home. It was a bitter sweet after spending so many months together but grateful he is getting the second chance he deserves. He is such a sweet boy but oh so shy! Hang in there Jovi! You got this!
