Exploring new techniques all the way from Korea this weekend! Pop ears are the VIBE in Seoul, votes?! Major conferences and tradeshows help us to continue to build our skills for you! I will be closed thru Monday for education. While gone we did experience a passing of a loved one. To allow travel time I will now also be closed until Wednesday morning at 8am. Thank you everyone for your patience! I will attempt to check the phone as I can.

Today we said goodbye to one of our last originals. I have been grooming here for 12 years and most of my sweet sweet babies that started with me have passed now. Less than a handful are still with us, living their best golden years. This gal was one of my extra special ones. Over 100 appointments and countless nights in my home for sleepovers. We lost a friend. I thought back on our last 12 years together and I wanted to take a moment to truly appreciate the lives of those that have crossed the rainbow bridge. It is the greatest privilege to be trusted with someone's beloved pet. I get to share a little piece of life with some of the best people and animals. Thank you all for the years, and in a lot of cases decade of trust and friendship. As the years go by and hundreds of hours spent together, I truly feel connected to your pets. So when the time comes for them to leave this world, I feel it with you too. If you made it through my sappy long post, comment below with the name of a loved pet who has passed. If its one I groomed, I'd love a trip down memory lane, or if I never did meet them, that's ok too! This is for all those precious little lives who love us so much during their time here. I'll start with our lovely little cavalier, Miss Izzy. I looked for the oldest photo I could find, her in all her sweetness, letting her kitty cat sister rub all over her in the middle of her grooming session. Back when I made housecalls. A beautiful memory ❤️

Two confirmed rabies cases in Victoria! Please check your pets vaccination records to ensure they are fully protected from this fatal disease.

CORRECTION!
There have been two skunks test positive for rabies this week, ONE was located in the Tanglewood subdivision and one was on Sumac Toad out in the county. If you see a skunk acting strangely, walking in a drunken state, in daylight hours, this should raise concern. 🦨 skunks do travel and move during the day and that is ok, KEY is their behavior! Please contact us! If they are just existing... let them exist.

Here is some info to deter from attracting skunks to your home.

Skunks are attracted to homes by easy access to food, water, and shelter, particularly unsecured garbage, pet food, and lawn grubs. They are scavengers that thrive on accessible waste and insects, while seeking dark, quiet places under porches, decks, or sheds for nesting.

Common Attractants: Accessible Food Sources: Pet food left outdoors, unsecured garbage cans, fallen fruit, birdseed, and improperly managed compost piles are top attractors.Lawn Pests (Grubs): Skunks are drawn to lawns with high grub, worm, and larva populations, often digging small holes in the turf to reach them.Shelter/

Denning Sites: Raised porches, sheds, crawl spaces, wood piles, and foundations provide ideal, hidden areas for skunks to build dens, especially in spring.

Water Sources: Pet water bowls, dripping hoses, or birdbaths can attract them, particularly in dry conditions.

Ensure your pets are current on their rabies vaccination!

🥳Upgrade!

It's not the big new service announcement BUT I do hope this is a productive one! As your groomer we lay hands on your pet every 2,4,6, and 8 weeks in most cases. We see down to the skin all over, touch places even owners don't normally pet. We feel, see, and yes smell things that owners may not notice. Now we have another tool here to help you and your trusted vet professional keep track of your pet's health. We can track your pets weight at your appointment time! Weight gain or loss is not always noticeable right away but proper weight checks can help in early detection if you need to make an appointment with your vet. We hope this new feature will help keep your pet and our friends healthier for longer! Just ask us to weigh your pet at their next visit! 🥰

We rescued this little guy over the weekend! Mr. Pickles is getting the best care while we search for a forever home. He is about 4lbs of s***k and love! He is about 6 weeks old and I am guessing a chihuahua/weenie mix. He has some longer chin and chest hairs but nothing too fluffy. We have given him his first round of dewormer and parvo/distemper vaccine. We have already started on kennel and house training. He has been around kids, cats, and my personal dogs of all sizes. Feel free to share so we can find Pickles the best little home!

Anyone needing to update rabies vaccinations? This is a perfect time! We require ALL pets serviced by us to be current on rabies, it is a fatal disease that can be halted by one vaccine! Dr. Kana and her crew are the best!

This is where I personally buy all my big dog treats from! HUGE high quality ears with the bristle still on (nature's toothbrush for your pet)! Never bought something my dogs didn't love!
