Dr. Andersen has been practicing Veterinary medicine for over 30 years and in that time he has accumulated a strong following. If you have any questions or would like an estimate, just give us a call! We recently added Dr. Scott Willens to our professional staff and we could not be more pleased. Dr. Willens has been a practicing Veterinarian for 19 years and his passion is pharmacology and toxicology.

Our office will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday September 2nd as we will be without a Doctor.

Please try to pick up any needed meds or prescription diets today by 6pm. If you are in dire need of a medication/food/supply and can't get here by 6pm, please call us today to work out an alternate pickup option.

With Canada's wildfire smoke making its way down to us in the Mid-Atlantic, we wanted to let you know that your pets can develop symptoms of asthma from wildfire smoke, particularly if they have underlying health conditions. Dogs and cats may not cough as we would, but will become lethargic and will breathe rapidly.

Aside from the scorching heat, keep the air quality in mind as you are letting your pets outside.

Its a HOT one today (and for the next few days)! 🔥☀️🔥

This is your reminder to keep your pets inside.
Only let them out for short spurts of time. If you MUST walk your dog, keep it short, only walk in the grass and bring water. 🌱🌱

Remember, they can't sweat to cool themselves like we do and the asphalt/concrete can burn their paws! In this weather, even wood can hurt 🐾

Signs of heat stroke in a pet are:
*Excessive panting
*Lethargic
*Drooling
*Disoriented
*Not getting up from a lateral position (laying on their side, refusing to get up)

If you notice these signs contact your Veterinarian or Emergency Vet immediately.
