FREE ADOPTIONS THIS SATURDAY!

This Saturday, October 17, is another FREE Sponsored Adoption Day at the Ross County Humane Society.

Thanks to a grant from the ASPCA’s The Rescue Effect, adoption fees for our available dogs will be completely covered! The only cost to bring your new best friend home is the $12 Ross County dog license.

We have enough grant funding remaining to cover 10 adoptions, so this opportunity is limited to the first 10 qualifying adoptions!

There are no breed restrictions, no age restrictions, and no catch. If a dog is available for adoption, they qualify for the sponsorship while funding lasts!

Our adoption process is simple and conversation based. No lengthy applications and no jumping through hoops. We'll spend a few minutes talking with you about your home, lifestyle, and what you're looking for so we can help you find a dog who is a great fit for your family.

Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a couch companion, a family dog, or just someone who will follow you into the bathroom for the next 12 years, we might have your new best friend waiting for you.

Come see us Saturday and help us send some dogs HOME!

A huge thank you to the ASPCA's The Rescue Effect for making these Sponsored Adoption Days possible and helping more dogs find their way home.

Check this out!! If you don’t live in Ross County you can still adopt! You just need to get your tags in your home county.

We have some exciting news to share!

Thanks to a grant from the ASPCA's The Rescue Effect, we will be offering FREE Sponsored Adoption Days two weekends each month throughout August, September, and October!

That means if you adopt a dog during one of these special adoption weekends, your adoption fee will be covered in full by the grant. The only cost to bring your new best friend home will be the Ross County dog license, which is $12.

There are no breed restrictions, no age restrictions, and no catch. If a dog is available for adoption during one of these weekends, they qualify.

Our adoption process is conversation based. Rather than a lengthy application, we'll spend a few minutes talking with you about your home, your lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a dog. Every dog has a different personality, energy level, and set of needs, and those conversations help us guide you toward the dog that is most likely to be a great fit for your family.

If you've never adopted from us before, don't worry. Our process is friendly, relaxed, and designed to help you find the right dog, not make you jump through hoops.

Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a family dog, a cuddle bug, or a senior who has retirement all figured out, we're here to help make a match that sets both you and your new dog up for success.

Our first Sponsored Adoption Day is THIS Saturday, August 8. If you've been thinking about adopting, this is the perfect time to come meet your new best friend.

We'll be announcing the remaining Sponsored Adoption Days soon, so keep an eye on our page.

We can't wait to help even more dogs find the homes they deserve this fall!

It's getting to be that time of year again where the weather is MISERABLE! We found this little flyer that can help you with your dog during this hot humid weather. Main KEY things to remember
- If the pavement is hot to the touch TO NOT make your dog walk on it
- If your dog is overheating DO NOT put cold water on them it can and will send them into shock
-Watch for signs of heat stroke it could save your dog's life knowing the signs
- And DO NOT leave your dog outside with no shade or water it is not safe nor ok to do
We hope that everyone and there furbabies have a safe happy summer!🐾🌞
