There are no words....Y'all need to read about our journey....How he wore Jenyfer like a shoe...lol. She lost the spring in her step thanks to Zeus. He is the reason Percy, Thor, Lola, and Titan had a chance. This is his legacy...He lives on in all the bull terriers I help.

Titan is doing well!!! I am ecstatic to say!!! He bounces around his rooms wanting attention. He is back to laying on my feet again!!! I don't mind being claimed. Titan can get away with just about anything. I love sitting in the floor with Titan laying across my lap. Since he started taking thyroid pills, his interest in food has gone up. Right now, he weighs thirty-four pounds. I am hoping his weight goes up. Some days he eats. Other days, he does not eat. A sure way to get him to eat is to hand feed him. Which I do almost every day. I have no problem hand feeding if that is what it takes for him to eat. For the past couple of days, I made a cup of minute oats put them on top of his food....he ate like he was starving!!! Every piece of food gone!!! Oats I can do quickly on the days I sub. Somedays truly challenge me subbing, Titan getting eye drops in the middle of the day, taking care of Thor, going to class, walking, sleeping....it is a lot. Now Titan is getting three more pills daily and one more eye drop. The new eye drop is three times a day. He gets in the morning with his other drops, at lunch, and in the evening. Lunch, a set time helps me remember. The results of his eye culture are, he has not one, but two antibiotic resistant bacterial infections in his eyes. He gets a pill and eye drops for those. In a couple of weeks, we'll be back at Dr. Gentry's office to see how the infection is. He also gets his thyroid checked that day as well. I didn't realize how much Titan slowed down until his pill started giving him energy. I really thought it was his age. What blows me away is he keeps going......blind, deaf, a myriad of health issues.... nothing slows him down.... He will probably outlast all of us. Creator blessed my life bringing Titan to me.
So far so good with Thor. He is loving life, bouncing around the yard and house. Soaking up attention from all of us. Maria has a special place for Thor in her heart. He has for her as well. Willow calls him Dor. I love it!!! I try getting him out in the afternoon or evening when I watch TV with my dogs. Time with him.... Time with Titan is a juggling act. The good thing about Thor is he can be with the other dogs. I keep his leash on and put him in place. Place is a beautiful command. To me anyway. Right now, all he gets are eye drops. Thor and Titan are tag teaming me throwing up. Thor did three weeks ago. The next week Titan did. That is when our adventure going to the ER happened. Titan is good. Last week Thor threw up. They make me crazy.... lol. Now they should be good for the next couple of months. I have written down when they have stomach issues. Have kept up with it for the past year. Just to see if there is a pattern. They make it about two months in between. When one starts the other follows a few days later. I honestly cannot tell you why this happens. Nothing changes, not food, not water, not yard, all is the same. For now, thankfully, Thor and Titan are good.
Stormy makes me smile every single day of my life. He fills my world with love, joy, and light. He is truly a special being in my life. Last Saturday, we were the Neutral Dog team for therapy dog training class. Stormy woke up in rare form and wound tight. When we left for class, he barreled out of the front door, sailed off the steps and galloped and spun all around the yard. Beat me to car, looked at me like I was moving too slow. Getting to class and seeing all the volunteers and handles wound him up even more. He entertained all present bouncing around the room. I am pretty sure he is about to become the read dog at the library in Gallatin. He'll love going and seeing the kids. Last night I found a lump by his front leg. I believe it is a fatty tumor. The vet told me it was. I hope it isn't large enough for Stormy to have surgery. It is in an awkward place in the skin between his chest and leg. Tomorrow, I'll take him to the vet. He has become my steadfast companion. Wherever I am, he is right beside me. He is part of my soul. Skye also. I love her so incredibly much!!! She is always ready for an adventure like walking!! Not Stormy, he likes sleeping in. His adventures happen later in the day. Skye is such a sweet soul. She enjoys soaking up attention. Cara liked attention. However, she was ready to go in a couple of minutes. Skye will sit forever with me or Willow. Her little sweet face looking back at us. I "feel" like Skye and Willow have a special connection. They were born a few days apart. They have grown up together. Watching them grow has been incredible. I love my two. During Fall Break, I hope to drive the Trace or the Skyway.
The little brown dog was a dog in need of a home. Winnie was such a calm, good with anything dog. Her behavior impressed me!!! My dogs don't behave that well. She wanted attention but didn't seek it. She didn't mind my dogs sniffing her or laying around her. When her humans brought her to my house, Stormy opened the front door and for a couple of minutes leaped, galloped, spun, flew, he did his bull terrier happy run. Made everyone laugh. Winnie wasn't fazed. I love the little girl. Someone would have to look long and hard to find a dog that easy going and good with life. I feel in love with her little foxy face!!!
Today my big plans are ordering, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT FIFTY ZEUS' JOURNEY!!!!! It has taken me this long to be able to order my own book!!!! They will be here way before the Fall Festival. Stormy and I have a table in front of the library. I'll be selling books and talking to everyone. Stormy says that he'll autograph books for treats!!! I am Ecstatic!!!! October 3rd. Mark your calendar and come buy books. Zeus is the sole reason I help the bull terriers now. Without him, I would not have the love or knowledge to work with them. If not for Zeus, Percy, Thor, Lola, and Titan would probably have wings. This is his legacy.... He lives in all the other bull terriers I help. His legacy.... his life....and the love he gave me. Sending my beautiful friends a fantastic day!!!! Love, Linda.

Friday started off backwards.....interesting with me going to the wrong school for my sub job!!! Naturally, I know everyone so sneaking in and out without speaking isn't possible. I laughed with the principal at the wrong school and the assistant principal at the right school. I have a lot on my plate. That was way before Titan got sick. Titan was napping when I got home from school. His wasn't eaten that is not unusual. Somewhere between six and seven Titan started throwing up. The first time wasn't too awful. Willow helped me. I gave him a nausea pill, took his food, and got him settled on his bed. I figured that was it for him. Dr. Gentry lets me keep nausea and diarrhea medicine for Titan and Thor. When they have an issue I take their food and start the medicine. This way it saves us going to the ER. The majority of the time, it works. This time it did not. Stormy and I were watching TV and I kept smelling something rank. Looking over at Stormy, I think it is he has gas. I realize the odor is coming from the bathroom. Going into the bathroom I see Titan has thrown up all over the floor, both his mats, the back or the door, the side of the toilet, and several places on the floor. Poor baby was back inside his crate to get away from his mess. I realized then, we were heading to the ER. My rule of thumb for vet or ER visits, is not drinking water, lethargic, and the medicine not working. I texted Arne letting him know. He gave the okay to go. While I was cleaning Jamie put potty pads in the passenger seat and blankets in the back seat. An hour later, Titan start out for Nashville Vet. Little did I know what was in store for us. The ride to Nashville was uneventful until I was coming the curve by the Cumberland Science Museum. I felt something give in the jeep, and we swerved in a couple of lanes. I quickly find spot way on the shoulder of I-65. Titan was fine, still sleeping. I am so grateful to State Farm for fixing me up with Roadside Assistance. I find the number, glad I had my glasses, because I would not have been able to see. Once I found my old card, I called the number. I put in my information only to be shown on my phone, the policy number was for Camie with a Ford SUV. I kept on calling the number until I finally was able to get a human. The first person I talked to told they couldn't help me with my policy number. They could write a ticket, but I'd have to pay for the service. That person transferred me to another person. Same thing happened. I went through three or four people, trying not to get angry, before someone was able to get me my policy number. By now it is getting dark I was barely able to see enough to write the number. I explain to this person; I am sitting on the side of the interstate with a sick dog heading to the ER with him. I tell her my location. I explained I was looking at the entrance to I-440. One person I talked about help asked me what was the address of where I was stranded. Several of the people I talked to had me on I-440. One of the first people I talked to had me stranded in Alabama. I couldn't believe it!! I would not have known but for one people calling me. That woman started a new, correct state ticket. She struggled with getting my location right. I tried not to get angry or frustrated. But I was sitting on the side of 65 jeep running to keep Titan cool, hoping someone showed up quickly. That was a hope in vain. I made my first call shortly after eight in the evening. At eight thirty-six help would arrive in seventy-five to a hundred and five minutes. At eight fifty-four, help was fifty-seven to eighty-seven minutes away. At nine thirty-nine the text read help was twelve to forty-two minutes away. At seven minutes after ten two texts came in help was twenty minutes away, then fifty minutes away. I almost cried. My head was pounding. My phone battery was dying. At eleven they were seven minutes, then two. The road assistance guy was calling me telling me five minutes. Then another five minutes. Then another five minutes. At eleven thirty they still had not made it to change my flat. I have sat on side of I-65 for three and a half hours and nothing had changed. I was so tired, discouraged, and stick a fork in me done!!! When my tire went flat, my second call was to my dear friend, Cindy. She was willing to come get Titan to vet while I waited. It took her awhile to find me because I forgot to tell her I was on 65. Cindy took I-40. Somewhere around ten, Titan went with Cindy. My patience was running thin by now. Was over waiting!! Over the texts!!! Over it being five more minutes!! All during my interminable wait, I was texting a Tse Dup friend who lives in Nashville. Even though she was busy, her texts and listening helped me get through. Cindy did as well. When help Finally arrived, I asked them why? The answer, we had things to do. Me being me, I asked what things? Neither one had an answer. Thankfully, the tire change went quickly.... the first thing that night that had.... lol. Probably because they wanted away from my baleful glares. As soon as I signed the paperwork, yours truly here was gone!!! I made to Nashville Vet safely. Titan was back being seen by a really nice vet. He gave Titan a nausea shot and off we went....At Last!! Titan's diagnosis was Gastrointestinal issue. He is on a bland diet taking pills for five days. I am glad he is okay and feels better. All I went through doesn't matter as long as Titan feels better. I kept reminding myself of all I have to be thankful for.
Waffle House just hits the spot sometimes. After the night, I'd had that is where Cindy and I headed. The food tasted so good. I got home at one, sat at Waffle House til two, and went to sleep around three after twenty-three hours of being awake.
Yesterday morning I called my insurance agent. I told him all about the night before. He advised me to send an email describing what I went through. These companies that do roadside assistance are subcontracted. They can be let go. By reporting them I may save someone from experiencing this.
Today, I am hanging out with my dogs recovering from the past two days. I am still mentally exhausted. In Lowe's yesterday, I found a corgi vampire inflatable decoration. It is now in the den waiting to be put on the porch.
Sending all my amazing friends a fantastic day!!!! Love, Linda.

Not much going here with the dogs, I am ecstatic to say. Of course, now that I posted it something will happen. Just kidding. We have all been hanging out at the house trying to stay cool. That has become a huge challenge. The heat usually doesn't bother me. However, this heat I feel. Somedays stepping onto the front porch is like stepping into a suffocating blanket. The heat is ongoing. It used to be at some point during the night or early morning the temperature would be pleasant. Not right now. When Stormy, Skye, and I walk we go at six. Most days are okay. This morning, we made it down to the end of Boles St. Looking at Stormy and Skye panting, I realized we were done. I didn't mind. We walked fare enough for Stormy to leave his card on his favorite stop sign and ditch with high grass. Watching him crawl and smile in grass higher than him made me laugh out loud. As soon as he heard me, he leaped up, glowing, and started galloping up and down the road. We headed back. Me with a much lighter heart. Walking back to the car, I realized just how much I love walking. I also, told myself that when it was cold, I would make myself walk. Honestly, my mental and emotional health is tied up with walking. Blows my mind how much better I feel inside when I walk. Once I get past the shock of waking up at five thirty/five forty-five.
Willow, Skye, and I enjoyed ourselves immensely Halloween shopping at Home Goods!!! I didn't know where to look first!! Halloween is probably my favorite holiday to decorate for. Although with the extreme heat thinking about Halloween is challenging. To me, it should be cold or chilly outside for it. Hoodies, bonfires, trick or treating, hot drinks, the harvest, pumpkins, costumes, ghosts, witches, lights.... etc. Unfortunately, if I don't shop now in the heat, all the stuff will be gone. There isn't any going back. But I so miss the holidays coming at their proper time. Christmas after Thanksgiving. Halloween in October. Since the decorations are out now.... yours truly here was shopping. I actually got out of the store for under fifty dollars!! I felt like I'd won the lottery. Willow did an impressive job of handling Skye in the store. While a shopper was petting Skye, Willow told her all about Skye. Those two have such a close bond and connection it is incredible. They grew up together. Definitely made them close.
Titan is eating and drinking and enjoying life. And still making me crazy. Why I love him. Last night though...maybe not. I told him, if he didn't stop going back and forth from the bathroom to the laundry room several times, he was getting a Trazadone. Then I said, I was taking the Trazadone and he could keep walking. Just kidding. As it was, neither one of us needed it. He still bucks and bounces around his room and the backyard. When I am hanging out with him, he lays across my feet. A lot of times, I'll sit on his bed with him. Now, I figured out how to let Titan hang out in the living room while I watch TV. I put a soft bed by the couch, guide him to it, and watch something. I don't worry about Skye and Stormy visiting Titan. They are told to stay away. Thankfully, they listen. Skye goes to her spot on chair. Stormy the other side of the recliner. Why didn't I think of this before?? Titan was with my yesterday for my morning coffee and writing on the porch. He lives deeply in my heart.
Thor, so far so good. He is loving life bouncing around the yard and house. The house when my two are outside. He found his person with Maria. He belongs here now. At night he watches movies with me. I am not much of TV person. It's hard for me to find a program I want to watch. At night, for Thor, I try. We usually watch Heartland. He doesn't mind. When he is out with us, I tell him "Place." He stays on the dog bed until I release him. That is such an amazing command. Keeping the leash on him is a game changer as well. Truly, I don't think he is going to misbehave. I just would like to have a handle if he did. With dogs, especially bull terriers, I can't take anything for granted.
Life is amazing!!! For me it is an incredible journey of growing and learning. Every day that I am here I do my best to make the world better for all beings living here, spreading peace, love, positive healing energy, and joy.... lots of joy.
Sending a stupendous day to all my beautiful friends!!!! Love, Linda.
