Today we’d like to say a special THANK YOU to our veterinary assistant Dylan for 2 years of hard work, compassion, and dedication to the Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance! 🐾

Many of you may recognize Dylan from checking patients in for surgery, but behind the scenes he spends long days in our surgical prep area helping ensure our patients are well cared for, safe, and doing their best before, during, and after surgery.

Dylan’s kindness toward animals and friendly support of our clients make a difference every single day. We are grateful for all he does and thankful to have him as part of our team.

Thank you, Dylan!

To the quiet heroes caring for community cats—feeding, providing shelter, trapping and transporting to veterinary clinics for spay/neuter and vaccinations—thank you. We know it’s not easy, and it often goes unseen, but your kindness is changing lives every day. ♥️

Today, we extend a huge thank‑you to the Stand Up For Pits Foundation, Inc for sponsoring spay and neuter surgeries and vaccinations for 6 pit bull–type dogs. Their support makes an immediate and meaningful difference for families in our community.

By helping pet owners access affordable spay/neuter services for Spay Neuter Angel Day, we are reducing pet homelessness, preventing future litters, and giving these dogs a healthier life. This is the kind of partnership that truly strengthens our community impact. We are grateful for responsible owners spaying and neutering their dogs.

We remain focused on our mission to reduce animal shelter intake and euthanasia by providing accessible, affordable spay/neuter services.

Because of this commitment, we are seeing real progress in our community. This simple chart demonstrates that increased targeted spay/neuter efforts lead to fewer homeless dogs and cats, reduced shelter intake and better overall outcomes for pets in our community.

🐾 Check out our Top 10 most‑seen breeds of 2025!

At SSNA, one of our core commitments is ensuring that the pets we serve reflect the pets most at risk in our community. Our canine patients should look like what fills the kennels at our local animal shelter — and this year’s data shows we’re doing exactly that.

📊 The average weight of adult dogs was 53 pounds, meaning we’re focusing on serving medium to large breed dogs. These dogs often face the greatest challenges when it comes to shelter intake, homelessness, and access to affordable spay/neuter services.

💙 Pitbull‑type dogs remain one of the most common breeds we help.
In 2025 alone, we spayed/neutered 546 pitbull‑type dogs, reducing pet homelessness and giving these loving companions a stronger chance at safe, healthy futures.

None of this progress would be possible without our dedicated staff, hardworking volunteers, and every pet owner who chooses responsible care. Together, we’re building a healthier, more compassionate future for pets across Sumner County.

🐶❤️ Thank you for helping us make a difference — one surgery at a time. Saving lives through prevention.

**Includes purebred and mixed-breed dogs of breeds shown.**

🎉 Wrapping Up an Incredible Year at the Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance! 🎉

As we close out 2025, we’re celebrating the meaningful impact we’ve made together. Throughout the year, we remained focused on supporting the pets most at risk of negative outcomes and stayed steadfast in our mission to reduce shelter intake and euthanasia. Thanks to the dedication of our staff, the generosity of our volunteers, and the unwavering support of our community, our clinic was able to make a real and lasting difference.

Every one of these pets served represents a healthier pet and a healthier community. Your support helps reduce pet homelessness, keeps animals out of shelters, and ensures more dogs and cats live long, healthy lives.

Thank you for being part of our mission. Here’s to an even more impactful year ahead! 💙🐾
