🌟 august spotlight rider: adaline 🌟

some riders make progress in the saddle. others make the entire barn a happier place just by walking through the doors. adaline does both. 🤍

around the barn, though, she’s better known as “sneaky.” 😂 somehow she always manages to keep us laughing, and you never quite know what she’s going to say or do next.

if you’ve ever met sneaky, you know exactly what i’m talking about. her laugh is contagious, her excitement is endless, and she somehow finds a way to make every lesson just a little more fun. (although i do spend a good portion of our lessons saying, “sneaky… focus!” 😂)

she has a personality that’s impossible to miss, but what i love most is the heart behind it. she’s the first to celebrate someone else’s success, the first to encourage a friend who’s having a hard day, and the kind of rider who makes everyone around her feel included.

over the past year, i’ve watched her grow into such a confident young horsewoman. she’s learning that riding isn’t about being perfect. it’s about showing up, working hard, and becoming a little better every time you swing a leg over a horse. she does exactly that.

at camp, sneaky received our heart of the barn award, and i couldn’t think of anyone more deserving. the barn wouldn’t be the same without her laughter, her kindness, her silly moments, or the joy she brings to every horse and every person she meets.

whether she’s making everyone laugh, getting distracted by just about everything around her, or cheering someone else on, sneaky has a way of making every person feel welcome and every lesson more fun. that’s a gift not everyone has.

sneaky, never lose that big heart of yours. keep being exactly who you are. we are so proud of the rider and, even more, the incredible young lady you are becoming.

While Raylee and Piper were busy playing a game of musical stalls during their lesson, Tommy decided it was the perfect time to sneak in a cuddle with her boyfriend. 🥹🤍

She laid her sweet little head right on Stetson, and he stood there without moving an inch like the gentleman he is. These two are truly the cutest boyfriend and girlfriend🥹

The girls had so much fun, and Tommy and Stetson definitely stole the show with their little love story. I swear these horses have the biggest hearts. 🤍🐴

what a fun first day of our experienced horse camp! 🐴☀️

we packed a lot into day one, and these riders came ready to learn, work hard, and have fun!

we started the morning with horsemanship stations where campers learned how to properly hold and use a lunge line, practiced their showmanship skills, and reviewed the parts of the saddle and bridle. i love teaching the little details because they help riders become more confident, knowledgeable, and successful both in and out of the saddle.

after that, everyone had a riding lesson so i could get a feel for each rider’s skill level and see what we’ll be working on throughout the week. every rider has different goals, so i like to meet them where they are and help them continue building confidence and improving their riding.

after all the hard work, it was time for some fun! we cooled off with a swim, decorated horseshoes to take home, and finished the day learning all about horse face and leg markings.

this group has already been so much fun, and i can tell it’s going to be an awesome week. i love seeing these kids laugh, make new friends, and grow their horsemanship while making memories they’ll never forget. i can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 💙🤠

i don’t even know where to start because this one has me emotional. 🥹🤍

congratulations to ellie and her family on their new boy, steele.

watching these two together has been something so special. it’s so obvious how much steele already loves ellie, and the way she looks at him just says it all. i truly believe they were meant to find each other.

ellie has worked so hard to get to this point. she’s shown up every week ready to learn, soaked up every lesson, never complained, and has put in so much work to make sure she was ready for a horse of her own. seeing all that hard work finally pay off is the best feeling.

i can’t wait to watch these two grow together, learn together, and accomplish so much. i have no doubt they’re going to make an amazing team, and i feel so blessed that i get to be a small part of their journey.

i am so, so happy for your family. congratulations again on your new best friend. here’s to making so many memories together, ellie & steele. i can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you two. 🤍🐴

one day they’ll be too big for riding lessons.

one day these little boots won’t run into the looking for me anymore.

one day i’ll teach them how to tack up for the last time.

one day i’ll watch them ride out of my arena and not know it’s the last lesson.

they’ll grow up… just like they were always supposed to.

but a part of my heart will always stay right here with them.

they think i taught them how to ride…

but they taught me how to keep believing, laughing, and loving again.

they’ll never understand how much they saved me on the hardest days.

every hug, every smile, every “look what i did!” is something i’ll carry forever.

they’ll probably forget so many of these moments…

but i never will.

to every kid who’s ever called this barn home… thank you for letting me love you like my own. you’ll always be one of the greatest blessings God ever placed in my life. 🤍

if there was ever a month that was meant for someone… it was this one. ❤️

our july spotlight rider is miss kora!!

from the very beginning, kora has had the sweetest heart. she’s the kid that’s always smiling, always loving on every horse she walks by, and somehow manages to make everyone around her smile too. she’s worked so hard, celebrated the wins, laughed through the goofy moments, and never stopped loving this crazy horse life.

and then… she got her very first horse. 🥹😭❤️

i don’t know anyone more deserving of this moment. watching her meet her new best friend is something i’ll never forget. i’m pretty sure there were enough happy tears to fill a water trough (don’t worry… we checked, the horses still had water 😂).

kora, this is just the beginning of so many adventures. there will be blue ribbons, dirty boots, early mornings, late nights, horse hair on absolutely everything you own, and enough memories to last a lifetime. your horse has no idea how lucky they are to have a little girl who already loves them so much.

thank you for being such a bright light at willows way ranch. your kindness, determination, and love for these animals never go unnoticed. we are beyond proud of you and can’t wait to watch you and your new best friend grow together.

if you asked me 4 years ago if i’d be where i am today, i probably would’ve thought you were crazy.

4 years ago, i was just trying to figure life out. i had big dreams, but i had no idea how any of it would happen. there were a lot of setbacks, heartbreaks, lessons learned the hard way, and moments where i wanted to give up.

but somehow, through all of it, i kept going.

i get to wake up and do what i love every single day, because of Harrison and our barn family. Harrison and I built something we’re so proud of, met some incredible people along the way, and watched dreams that once felt impossible become reality.

to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, cheered us on, trusted us with your horses, taken lessons, boarded with us, shared our posts, recommended our business, or simply reminded us not to give up when things got hard, thank you. we truly would not be where we are today without you.

it hasn’t been perfect, and it definitely hasn’t been easy, but looking back, i’m so thankful we never quit.

4 years ago me would be absolutely shocked. ❤️🥹 and honestly, i think she’d be pretty proud too.
