Got out of the horse show just before the storm rolled in! So proud of Hannah Fiederlein Bilbao and her Atlantic S scoring over a 65% at third level test three and getting a qualifying score for regionals!!!

The show was a bit more challenging for me and the mares; Patricia Slusser’s Danica and LuAnn Grover and my Tophojs Valentina. They both came into season on Friday making a very emotional, tense go on Saturday for both😵😈🥰🥺🤬🤯. Sunday Valentina was able to hold it together a bit better. The joys of young horses learning to navigate a show ground with hormones!

Danica earned a bottle of wine for a 9 in her test, and Valentina overcame a speaker blasting Queen for a freestyle right as we walked up to it! 😉

Here are a few glimpses of Valentina’s better moments (thanks Brittany Stewart!) 🙂. And the lovely end comments from both Valentina’s rides. Makes me excited for the future and once things really click for us!

Struggling with bits for your horse? We have a solution coming to Ohio. World renowned bit fitter, Kim Gentry will be here in July! I have her for 2 full days this time. I still have horse slots available! Contact me to reserve your spot! She does jumping and dressage bits! $100 holds the spot. I am expecting fittings to be around $250 for snaffle and $350 for double.

Today was not as good of a ride for Valentina, but it sure won for the most dramatic swings between scores. Highs of 8 and lows of 3s! Baby horse tried but she was tired and when she gets tired she gets fast and reactive! Krystin and Arthur however, got their first level scores for her bars with distinction!!! overall we’re always learning and have some pretty good takeaways on planning for the next show! Pat Slusser was able to school on her horse Danica today and Krystin was able to school her just turned three-year-old baby Charlie who handled the horse show environment like a pro!

Our team killed it today! Won every class entered. LuAnn Grover and my Tophojs Valentina scored over a 71% with me almost going off course, with a 9 on our stretchy trot! Pat Slusser’s Danica attended her very first show ever scoring a 66, Krystin Schmid got her first level freestyle score for her bars!
