Another call for Chompers donations! Anything you can give helps us out SO much!

❤️ HELP US FEED PETS IN NEED!🐾

Last month, 75 clients came to Chompers for help feeding their beloved dogs and cats. For some families, a bag of food or a few cans can be the difference between being able to keep their pet and facing a heartbreaking choice.

Right now, we especially need:

🐱 CAT FOOD
• Dry cat food — all brands welcome!
• Meow Mix
• Friskies, especially Seafood Sensations
• Purina Cat Chow
• Canned cat food, especially Friskies & Fancy Feast
• Pâté, chunky, gravy — we need it all!
(We currently have enough over-the-counter urinary dry food, so please prioritize other varieties.)

🐶 DOG FOOD
• Canned dog food, especially for small dogs
• Dry dog food
• Purina Dog Chow — chicken & beef
• Beneful
• Kibbles ’n Bits
• Any brand is appreciated!

Black & white cutie HOMER's adoption odyssey ended with a happy ending. He went home with two of our own volunteers!

Eight-year-old Eiv can usually be heard before she is seen. If she can tell someone is nearby, she yells her little heart out with the raspy meow of a lifelong smoker.

She is easily the most affectionate cat at the shelter right now, and it’s impossible to resist petting her silky soft coat.

So far, she seems much more interested in affection than play, though maybe we just haven’t tried the right toys yet. 🥰

Bonded five-year-old brothers Ash and Brutus cannot wait for spooky season to begin!

Sweet, friendly Ash is slightly smaller than his brother
Brutus, but they are practically twins. Ash is likely to greet you first, likely with a meow or a chirp.

He absolutely adores human company, especially if said human provides pets and playtime. While Ash is a bit on the heavier side, he has no shortage of energy when it comes to pouncing on wand toys. You may need to make him take a break!

Brutus is the larger, mellow sibling to his brother Ash.
He can usually be found lounging on the wooden chair by the door and visibly perks up when visitors stop by.

While Brutus doesn’t pace the room quite like Ash does, bring out a wand toy and you’ll see his inner hunter come out.

The boys play very nicely together, but once Brutus catches his prey, he wants to drag it into his igloo.🐭

Three-year-old Harper was caught in the middle of a fierce afternoon nap but was perfectly fine with having her picture taken. A gal as gorgeous as Harper is always ready for the camera after all!

She isn’t always in the mood for petting but when she is, she
will make it very clear and may plant herself in your lap. Harper knows what she likes: treats, playtime, and pets (on her terms, naturally).

One volunteer has noticed her eating her wet food with her paws – a bit unusual, but super cute.

Queen Pepper has largely redirected her focus to the second floor of her domain, and prefers the cat tree by the desk these days.

Even still, she deigns to greet her subjects in the kitchen when the mood strikes. She has her playful moods, and one volunteer observed that catnip bubbles got her chirping and darting around. So cute!

👏Now Available For Adoption 👏

Hi my name is Baby!

He is a cute 4-year-old Buff and White domestic short hair male. He received his name because his owner felt he looked just like a baby!

He is a shy cat at first, but does like being around people. He is a curious cat, he loves to watch birds out the window and he is curious about other cats. He loves to explore and will investigate look into every nook and cranny.

Baby loves spring toys and will chase them and catch them and sit with them for a minute or two! Baby does not mind being picked up for a short while and then he will start to wiggle when he is ready to depart.

OK, he does like other cats but the unneutered males in hs last home were not his friends and he did try. He wanted nothing to do with the lizard who resided in the house!!

Baby does like to cuddle up with you in your chair/couch and in your bed when it is nighttime, so do not be surprised if he beats you to Your own bed once he knows where it resides. He uses a litter box without issues and does like a scratching post.
