🎇Tips on keep your pets safe during July 4th:
Create a Safe, Secure Environment. Designate a den: Set up a cozy, familiar spot in an interior room (like a bathroom or closet) where sound travels less. Add their favorite blankets or consider an anxiety wrap.
🎇Drown out the noise: Mask the booms of fireworks by keeping the TV on or playing calming, rhythmic music.Avoid backyard alone time:
🎇 Even a "dog-proof" fence might not hold a panicked dog. Keep them on a leash when taking them outside during peak fireworks hours.
🎇Preparation and RoutineTire them out: Schedule a long walk or a vigorous play session early in the day. A tired dog is more likely to relax.
🎇Manage feeding times: Try to get their meals in early so their digestion isn't disrupted by stress once the fireworks begin.
🎇Stay calm: Dogs look to you for cues. Act normally and project a relaxed demeanor to show them there is nothing to fear.
🎇Consult Your VeterinarianMedical assistance: If your dog has a severe noise phobia, talk to your vet about safe anti-anxiety medications. Always test medications on a quiet day first to see how your dog reacts. Summer here which means crazy high temperature. Remember leave your dog home during summer months even if quick errand and AC on while slip out of car even for second. IT'S NOT WORTH IT! HEAT KILLS. 🥵 And in some states it consider federal offense and could serve time for animal cruelty/endangerment.
Leave your best friend at home with AC they will be so much happier.
