Limited number of VIP Flamingo Feedings available each day at 10:15 am. Feed vending machines at petting zoo to feed the goats require quarters. Experience a "giraffe's eye view" from our elevated walkway that surrounds our mixed species African savannah exhibit. *No snakes or handlers were harmed* Look at this lovely Smooth Green Snake Tommy ran across this morning.

This North American, nonvenomous is also referred to as the grass snake. It is a slender, "small medium" snake that measures just 14”-20” as an adult.

The smooth green snake is primarily an insectivore eating spiders, caterpillars, harvestmen, moths, ants, snails, worms, and slugs.

“Forest” the clouded leopard. Instead of the small, solid spots as seen on a cheetah or rosettes seen on a leopard, a clouded leopard has large irregular blotches with dark borders and lighter centers. These markings resemble clouds, which is where their common name comes from.

The ground may reflect the lack of rain, but there is still plenty of green around to be enjoyed…
