🧠 Trivia Tuesday: Which of these pets might benefit from an abdominal ultrasound?

The answer is D. All of the above!

An abdominal ultrasound gives veterinarians a closer look at your pet's internal organs and can help investigate a variety of symptoms and abnormal findings, including unexplained vomiting, abdominal pain, changes in bloodwork, and suspected internal disease.

At CCVS, our board-certified veterinary radiologist uses advanced diagnostic imaging to help identify what's going on when your pet needs a closer look. Learn more about veterinary ultrasound and how it can help your pet on our website!

🐍 Continuing education helps us provide better care for our patients and better support for our veterinary community.

Many thanks to Dr. Schaer, DVM, DACVIM, DACVECC for joining our team at CCVS for informative CE on snake bites! Our team had the opportunity to learn more about recognizing, treating, and managing these challenging emergency cases.

We’re grateful for opportunities to continue learning alongside fellow veterinary professionals to strengthen the care we provide to pets throughout our community!

🟦🟨 Did you know that our surgical pre-op care includes time with a highly-trained ‘emotional support technician’, like Lauran, a CVT and Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner?

Certain dog breeds (such as Bulldogs and Pugs) suffer from Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS). Limiting stress, controlling weight, keeping them cool, and using a harness to avoid pressure on their windpipe can help, but owners like ‘Ricky’ Shank’s may also elect surgeries that help these smooshed-faced dogs breath easier and with less effort to improve their quality of life. 💛💙

Please help us congratulate one of our amazing hospital managers, Jenn! This morning, she passed her test to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM). This is the highest level of veterinary management credentials possible, so this is quite an achievement, and we are very proud of her! 🎉👏💪🏼
