When this handsome 2-year-old Maine C**n wasn’t interested in his meals and started hiding, gagging, and acting unusually tired, his family brought him to UrgentVet Gainesville. 🐾💙

Still settling into his new home after being adopted just 10 days earlier, he already has a family paying close attention to his needs. We’re glad they reached out when he wasn’t feeling like himself!

Sweet Maple came to UrgentVet Gainesville after being involved in a dog attack. Even though she had been through a scary experience, Maple was such a sweet and loving girl during her visit.

And of course, she still found time for plenty of cuddles! That’s why she earned our Best Cuddler award! 🏆💕

🚨 Pet Parent Reminder: If your pet is involved in a dog fight or attack, even wounds that look small can hide deeper injuries. Puncture wounds can become infected or involve underlying tissues, so it’s important to have your pet evaluated by a veterinarian.

Even though she wasn’t feeling like herself, Penny was such a good girl and handled her visit like a champ! 🥹🐾

Sweet little Poppy came to UrgentVet Gainesville after getting into some grapes! 🍇😳 Grapes and raisins can be toxic to dogs and may cause serious kidney problems, so even a small amount can warrant a call to your veterinarian.

Poppy is now getting the care she needs and hopefully learning that grapes are for humans—not puppies

💡 Cat Parent Tip: Vomiting can happen for many reasons in cats, from eating something they shouldn’t to hairballs, dietary changes, gastrointestinal issues, or other underlying conditions. Occasional vomiting may not always be an emergency, but repeated vomiting, blood in the vomit, weakness, refusing food or water, or changes in behavior are reasons to have your kitty evaluated.

We hope Bao is feeling much better and keeping all those meals down!

Not every outdoor adventure goes according to plan—just ask Maggie! 🐝

Maggie came to UrgentVet with facial swelling from a suspected insect sting, and our team was ready to help. Allergic reactions in pets can happen quickly and may cause swelling, redness, hives, and in some cases, difficulty breathing.

The good news? Maggie is feeling much better! Her swelling has gone down, and she's back to her happy, playful self—just the way we like to see our patients. 💙
