The City took a drone shot of the Rocky Fork
plaza where the Hound Hut is located. Thankfully it appears the water is receding!
FLOODING UPDATE - 12 p.m.
Our crews continue cleanup efforts following this morningβs widespread flooding.
Gahanna and communities throughout Franklin County experienced significant flooding this morning, with some areas of the county having even more severe impacts. Creeks and waterways were already saturated from the excessive rainfall weβve had over the past several days, contributing to todayβs conditions.
Flooding occurred across Gahanna, although most main thoroughfares are now open.
Please continue to use caution when you are out. Do not walk or drive through flooded areas. Also, keep children and pets away from standing water, as it can be deeper or moving faster than it appears and may contain debris or other hazards that are difficult to see.
Most trails remain closed in Gahanna. Please adhere to posted signs and do not enter areas that are closed.
If you are experiencing an emergency or are in immediate danger, call 911. First responders and staff are still addressing flood-related emergencies throughout the community. To help keep those resources available for immediate emergencies, please do not call the police and fire non-emergency lines or the Cityβs Customer Service line with flooding concerns at this time.
Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as cleanup efforts continue and water recedes.
