This site is for posting of urgent shelter animals who have only 5 working days to be reclaimed by owners (less than 10%) or for our Humane Society to find a rescue group or adopter. We appreciate pledges, as they sometimes make it affordable for a long distance rescue to pay for vetting and transport costs. Pledges do not, however, guarantee we can save an animal. We do not have the facilities to

allow us to remove animals from the Cherokee County Animal Shelter that have not been confirmed to a rescue group. Please understand that we have financial and space limitations and while we wish we could save all the adoptable animals at the Cherokee County Shelter, resources simply do not allow for that outcome at this time.
