Part of being a DOG owner is training and getting them to live a life in a humane world. Most of the time with adult dogs that are adopted or rehomed, we don’t know what trauma they have gone through. So loving, patient and compassionate care is required.

Did you know it is illegal to transport rescues dogs to some states if they are positive for heartworms? Wisconsin is one of those states.

The Dog Love Foundation can help in many cases but if your dog isn’t on heartworm preventive there is a high chance they are positive and cannot be rehomed unless treatment $$ is given first.
