Humane Society and Adoption Center of Rockport-Fulton A NO-KILL facility for cats and dogs. We have great animals that need good, loving homes. See them all in the photo albums: Ready for Adoption. Sunday 1pm-4pm.

We are located in the Rockport-Fulton, Texas area on the Gulf Coast. Our facility is located on 3.5 acres with lots of beautiful oak trees that provide wonderful shade for all our animals. Hours of Operation:Tues-Thurs 10am-2pm, Fri, Sat 10am-4pm. Closed Monday.

💔 Meet Spanky 💔

At around 8 years old, Spanky never expected to find herself in a shelter. After losing her beloved owner, her whole world was turned upside down, and shelter life has been a difficult adjustment for this sweet girl.

Spanky is a gentle, easy-going lap dog who finds comfort in being close to her person. If you’re sitting down, chances are she’d love nothing more than to curl up in your lap and soak up some love. ❤️

She is a very timid and sensitive girl who will need a patient, devoted owner willing to take things at her pace. Spanky can be flighty when she’s scared and is a serious escape risk. If she gets loose, she is very difficult to catch, so a secure, fenced yard is a must. She is not a fan of being picked up or going on leash walks and would be happiest in a calm home where she can safely enjoy a yard and settle into a predictable routine.

Spanky gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and while she could certainly thrive as an only dog, the presence of another calm, easy-going canine friend may help ease some of her anxiety.

Right now, Spanky struggles with the noise and activity of our kennel room. She’s currently staying in our manager’s office, where the quieter environment has helped her feel much more comfortable and secure.

What Spanky needs most is someone willing to mend her broken heart and show her that she’s safe, loved, and home again. 🏡

Just look at that face! ❤️ Malcolm is a 5–6 month old puppy who is searching for a foster home — and we’d love to find someone interested in a foster-to-adopt arrangement while he waits for his neuter appointment.

Malcolm is a playful, outgoing young pup with a wonderful personality. He has a strong desire to learn, listens well, and is at that perfect age where he’s eager to soak up everything his people teach him. He just needs someone to guide him, show him the ropes, and help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.

Whether it’s going on adventures, learning new tricks, or simply curling up beside you after a day of fun, Malcolm is ready to be your loyal companion. 🐶

🚨 Help Needed! 🚨

Our lawnmower is officially dead in the water, and the grass at the shelter is getting pretty tall. We’re looking for someone who can help us get it knocked down, preferably today or tomorrow.

We’re happy to pay for the service, or if someone would like to donate their time, we would be incredibly grateful. Keeping the grounds maintained is important for the comfort and safety of our animals, and right now we could really use a helping hand.

☀️ Sunshine is back at Pet Wants! ☀️

Our sweet girl Sunshine is spending some time downtown at Pet Wants, where she’s settling into our brand-new cat tower generously donated by one of our amazing volunteers!

Sunshine is around 3 years old and is more than ready to find the forever home she’s been waiting for. She would love some visitors, so if you’re out and about, stop by Pet Wants and say hello. You might just meet your new best friend! 🐾💛

🐾 Ruby is a beautiful 5-year-old Klee Kai looking for an experienced home that understands her breed. She can be reactive with other dogs and needs a confident owner who will provide structure and consistency. After being bounced around, Ruby is ready to find a forever home where she can finally settle in and thrive.
🐱 Joan is a beautiful 2-year-old cat who has been with us since she was just a kitten. She can be a little reserved at first, but once she gets to know you, her sweet personality shines through. Joan would love to find a patient family and a forever home to call her own.

We are so happy to announce that Ginger and Callaway have found their forever home — together! ❤️

These two special friends have officially started their next chapter side by side, and we couldn’t be more excited for them. Knowing they’ll get to spend the rest of their lives together in a loving home makes our hearts so full.

🏃‍♂️🦴 Edward Scissorhands running into the weekend like… 🦴🏃‍♂️

If there’s one thing Edward knows how to do, it’s have fun! These photos perfectly capture his personality—full speed ahead, bone in tow, and ready for whatever adventure comes next.

This excited, loving little guy recently got to enjoy a day away from the shelter at Memorial Park, and he made the most of every minute. Edward loved strolling around the turtle pond, meeting new people, spotting ducks, and checking out all the turtles along the way. He was also a perfect gentleman in the car and happily accepted a Starbucks pup cup (which disappeared in record time!).

Back at the shelter, Edward keeps the fun going. He loves chasing toys, carrying around his favorite stuffies, and finding reasons to zoom around with a smile on his face.

Edward would thrive with an active family that can keep up with his playful spirit, but he’s also happy to settle in for some cuddles after a day of adventures. If you’re looking for a sidekick for walks, beach days, road trips, and everything in between, Edward is ready to grab his bone and go!
