One of my favorite memories of working with animals is the first time this happened to me. A huge guy with bulging muscles covered in tattoos walks into the veterinary hospital I was working at carrying a tiny kitten in a crate. He was so concerned about the kitten, since he just adopted it a few days earlier. I still smile when I think of that dude. Couldn't remember anything else about him though. 🤣

Reminder that you can't judge people by their appearances.

I get asked about vet prices quite often, and my usual reply is that for veterinary medicine, we use the same exact machines (in almost all cases) as used in human medicine. But recently, I've noticed that some veterinary hospitals have begun charging exorbitant prices for certain procedures. And my usual answer doesn't seem to fit in those cases. This article partially explains the discrepancy, however it's based on prices in the U.K. But it's happening here as well.
