This question, is, im sure on a lot of peoples minds when they call for nail trims "why are they appointment only"
Well, when we were All Star Grooming nail trims were walk ins and $5, now, they are appointment only and $10 for nail cut and $15 for nail filing, so, why by appointment only now? After COVID, business in the grooming world changed drastically as did many other industries. We gained an incline of up to 80% new clients we had never seen, once everything opend every dog needed to be groomed, and we were more busy than ever along with all other groomers in the area.
Booking at the time 10-15 dogs a day, plus walk in nail trims gave a burnout indescribable for only 2 people working at the time, eventually, it became me working independently, and dogs were having longer wait times, being more anxious, and the day ending in honest frustration due to the high amount of walk in nail trims there were. I pulled the reigns and for the safety of the dogs, myself, and potential nail clients coming in, I made the decision to make nail trims by appointment. This allows for me to get to know each dog individually, knowing what they like and dont like, how to handle them, and if its better for them to come during a slower time or at regular hours. I love working with my nail trim clients on a regular basis and because of nail trims being by appointment now, most people pre set their nail appointment to help with consistency and quality in their dogs nail care. Going by appointment has also allowed me to continue 1 on 1 grooming providing pets with the comfortability they need!
