Daniel Puckett Farrier Service Offering complete hoof care for all equines, from barefoot trims to therapeutic shoes, minis to drafts. Donkeys and mules, too

March 2009 graduate of Kentucky Horseshoeing School's 24 week career path course, the longest offered at the time. I completed an American Farrier's Association PreCertification Workshop while attending school, passing my shoe display and written tests. Southeast Missouri's only AFA Certified Farrier. Apprenticed for a year and a half under John Voigt, from Carbondale, IL.
I do only hot shoeing, with most shoes being clipped to help hold hoes on.
I handmake ALL my therapeutic shoes. It allows a custom fit and nail hole placement when the horse needs the support most. Therapeutic shoeing is not a time to compromise fit.
I offer adding drill tech to the shoes, if requested.
I'm by no means the cheapest, but I honestly believe I offer the best VALUE in the area, in terms of knowledge of equine anatomy and biomechanics, shoe making, and knowing appropriate shoes for given conditions. If I make a recommendation, it is for the benefit of the HORSE, not my pocketbook.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

With diesel prices well on their way to the moon, combined with the years and miles on the maroon Dodge, we decided a slightly newer, gasoline powered, shoeing rig was a good idea. This is the new DPFS rig that will now come to your barn or farm to care for your equine feet.

Back from camp, now Daniel has to take care of our own horses. Trims and deworming.

Please bear with me, folks. My phone "updated" a bunch of stuff when I turned on the WiFi at camp. Now I can't reply to text messages.🙄😡. I'll be calling people or communicating through Messenger until I figure this out.

This is Daniel's wife, Christina, here to give my annual reminder to all his clients and friends. 😊
Today, Daniel left for Eagle Sky to volunteer as a counselor for foster kid camp. This whole week he will not be available! He will not have his cellphone on him. We ask for patience during this week. He makes a big sacrifice to take off a whole week to go be a Dad to a foster kid at this camp. We ask that you simply wait till Friday to call or text. I also ask that you join me in prayer:
"Heavenly father, you are such a good and gracious father! You have already showed up in big ways. You have already provided the financial provisions for this foster kid camp. We give you glory for it all!
I pray for Daniel and all of the counselors that are at Eagle sky this week. May they say the right things. May they do the right things, all to benefit the boys and girls and to bring you glory. I pray they might even get to be reunite with their campers from last year.
I pray that all the campers that are signed-up will be present tomorrow. I pray for everyone's safety. I pray that they stay healthy and make good choices. I pray that their hearts will be open and I pray that they will receive the Holy Spirit. I pray that they will learn to trust again and I pray that this whole week will be a joyous time.
And finally I pray for myself and all of the families that are left back home to take care of the day to day responsibilities of running a household. I pray against the attacks of satan and all of our enemies with the blood of Jesus. Give us the strength and endurance and patience to make it through the week.
We pray this in Jesus' name... Amen"

Sincerely thank you from The Pucketts

Not many pics from the last couple weeks. It's hard for me to remember to take pictures every day. Or even every week.
