Visits can also include nature walks on large grassy areas surrounded by 100-year-old trees, scenic views and a variety of birds and wildlife. Some friendships begin with a wag. 🐾

At our 50th Anniversary Celebration, sweet Paisley found a very special friend in Rogue our beloved Sunland Acres ambassador. While Rogue happily soaked up the pets, ear scratches, and endless praise from guests all evening, it was her connection with Paisley that truly captured our hearts.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

We believe every dog is an individual with their own personality, learning style, and needs. That’s why we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to training. We take the time to understand each dog and tailor our programs to help them build confidence, strengthen communication, and become the very best version of themselves.

A heartfelt thank you to La Venture Grove, Waterfront Wedding Venue Jacksonville for graciously hosting Sunland Acres’ 50th Anniversary Celebration and MAD Rescue Charity Auction.

From the moment our guests arrived, the breathtaking indoor and outdoor venue on the beautiful St. Johns River created the perfect setting for an evening we’ll never forget. The charm and history of its stunning home, originally built in the 1880s, made our celebration feel even more special.

Thank you for your incredible hospitality and for helping us create a magical night filled with laughter, memories, and giving back to a cause so close to our hearts.

Our hearts are so full after celebrating 50 years of Sunland Acres with all of you on July 18th, 2026. It was such a blessing to reconnect with longtime clients and friends, welcome new faces into our family, and celebrate the incredible legacy that Lynn Lamoureux has continued.

The evening was truly magical, and we’re especially grateful that every dollar raised will help pets in need through MAD Rescue Malinois Dutch Shepherd (MAD) Rescue

Join us this Saturday Morning Kilwins St. Johns for an amazing charity 5k run!

The 15th annual Kilwins Ice Cream Run will take place at Kilwins St. Johns Beachwalk on July 18 at 7:30 a.m.

This year, the race will benefit five local nonprofits: Prestige Workforce, Pie in the Sky, Isaiah 117 House, Livestrong at the YMCA and Mercy Support Services.
