Family Friends Veterinary Hospital recognizes that the client’s pet is a valuable member of the family. Our staff will treat each patient as if they are a member of our own family. Our goal is to provide our patients with the following:

Dr. Elizabeth Rogers is a native of Fort Worth and a graduate of Texas A&M College of

Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced as a veterinarian for 19years, including 2 years at All Care Veterinary Hospital in Coppell and the last 12 years at Animal Medical Center of Plano. She is excited to start the next chapter in her life with Family Friends Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Rogers enjoys the various challenges that veterinary medicine brings to her, especially the ones from internal medicine and surgery. While the majority of her patients are cats and dogs, she also enjoys working with the following exotic small mammals:
• Rabbits
• Ferrets
• Chinchillas
• Guinea Pigs
• Hamsters
• Rats
• Gerbils
• Mice

She takes pride in continually evolving her knowledge and techniques of veterinary medicine with continuing education, which is essential in her constantly expanding profession. Dr. Rogers has also enhanced her knowledge and skills by spending time working at the Emergency Clinic of Collin County. Dr. Rogers' love of animals has always been near to her heart, and she has often had animals in her life. She currently has a white Maltipoo named Ralph, black Maltipoo named Walter, and a rabbit named Ollie. Both of these animals were adopted from animal rescue groups. Dr. Rogers tries to balance her work and her personal life. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, dog walking, spending time with her church group, cooking (she’s an excellent cook), and avidly reading a book. She is a member of the following:

• Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society
• The Association of Exotic Animal Veterinarians
• Board Member of Wild Rescue/Rabbit Rescue, Inc. Her specialty is Emergency. Dr. Furth obtained her undergraduate education at the University of Denver before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M. In 2012, she then completed a small animal rotating internship at Auburn University in Alabama. Dr. Furth went on to complete a surgical internship at Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, Texas and a clinical associate position in small animal surgery at Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 2014, Dr. Furth joined an emergency hospital in Round Rock as a clinical associate. Dr. Furth’s professional interests include surgery, emergency and critical care, neurology, rehabilitation, and client education. She lives in Austin with her husband and their two dogs, George and Ice. In her spare time, Dr. Furth enjoys reading, painting, watching movies, yoga, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets. She is a member of the following:
