Fleas and ticks are the real supervillains this year! Be sure you are taking extra care to keep your pet up to date on preventative even if your pup is an inside only pet.

According to research at Cornell university it can take less than a half a second for your pup to contract a flea. The moment they walk within a few inches of a newly emerged adult flea or an infested area they are liking to contract fleas.
Adult fleas begin laying eggs within 24-48 hours and they lay around 40-50 eggs a day.

It’s important to get ahead of the problem by talking with your vet and seeing what preventative is best for you and your pet. If your pup has been infested we strongly urge you to book an appointment fast so we can tackle what’s on their body with our flea and tick bath 🩷

While we take care of your fur friends we always will always recommend what you can clean and spray around your house and car to help eliminate are prevent fleas in your home!

Fleas can be tough to see and tough to be rid of so let’s work together and take extra caution keeping your fur friends flea and tick free for better healthier skin and coat.

IT IS 🥵 HOT 🥵 HOT 🥵 HOT 🥵 OUTSIDE THIS SUMMER!!

With the heat coming in that means big changes for our pups! Such as influx of fleas, more frequent play time and adventures,swimming for some, and ALLERGIES!!!

Bears and Bella’s is all about what’s best for your pup we try to catch ear infections, skin infections, matting , etc. before it turns into a vet visit for you and your sweet companion.

If you find after all the fun in the sun that your pup is matted or just a little more tangled than usual that’s okay! Sometimes a short summer cut is exactly what your pups need to feel refreshed. All groomers will work with you on pointers for how to prep your pup for the winter moving forward!

If you have a long haired pup who is a frequent swimmer it’s very important to maintain a good schedule. Swimming with no bath after can lead to chlorine or bacteria left on the skin and coat. This can cause skin infections and matting. Water in the ears can also lead to ear infections and will need to cleaned right away. Swimming is a great way to keep your pup cool for the summer and we are all about fun! A shorter cut may help prolong the fun and prevent issues.
