North Texas Giving Day is coming up!

Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue needs your help getting ready for the months ahead. Our biggest needs this year are farrier care, veterinary care, and winter hay.

Meet Biscuit. We may not know much about her past, but we know she is sweet, shy, and very curious about the people around her. She wants to trust—we’re just giving her the patience and time she needs to get there.

Biscuit came to Becky’s Hope from a neglect situation when we were out in Wolfe City. After a great deal of effort and assistance from the sheriff’s office, she was relinquished to our care and given the opportunity for a safe new beginning.

The horses who come to us often need much more than a safe place to land. They need hoof care, medical care, good nutrition, patience, and time to recover. Those needs don’t stop—and winter hay season will be here before we know it.

Donations are open now through North Texas Giving Day on September 17, 2026. Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us continue giving horses like Biscuit the care they deserve.

We are feeling so incredibly grateful for Jamesyn, her sweet family, and everyone who helped make her 7th Birthday Donation Drive so special! 💛

Instead of asking for gifts for her birthday, Jamesyn chose to collect donations for Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue. Her thoughtful donation included much-needed paper towels, water, and cat food for our barn cats—things we use every single day and are always so thankful to receive.

It is so heartwarming to see such kind, animal-loving children and their wonderful mom choosing to give back. You can truly tell this family has beautiful hearts and a genuine love for animals.

Thank you, Jamesyn, for sharing your 7th birthday with us and with the animals at Becky’s Hope. What a special way to celebrate! We appreciate you and your amazing family more than you know. Happy Birthday, Jamesyn! 🐴🐱 🫏 🎈

Special announcement!!

After about a month of careful planning, conversations, and making sure every part of the process was right, we are beyond excited to finally share some wonderful news…

Justice and his girls, Red and Tiny, have officially gone to their new forever home!❤️

They are now living just north of McKinney, Texas, on approximately 200 beautiful acres. Their new family originally had one horse (Nibblet) who was in need of companionship. When they saw our bonded trio and learned how closely Justice, Red, and Tiny are connected, they opened their hearts and their pasture to all three so they could remain together.

Honestly… we could not have hoped for a more perfect fit.

Their new horse friend, Nibblet, was so happy to have companions, and we are thrilled to hear that everyone is getting along wonderfully so far. They now have room to roam, new friends to meet, and a whole lot of love surrounding them.

This is a family property with several families living in separate homes throughout the land, which means Justice, Red, and Tiny will receive so much love and attention. They also have pigs, a mule, chickens, and plenty of new friends to share their days with!

After so many years, it is never easy to let go. But this is truly one of those moments where everything aligned exactly the way it was supposed to. Seeing this bonded th*****me stay together and step into such a loving, safe, wonderful forever home means more than we can put into words.

Please join us in giving a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to Justice, Red, and Tiny’s amazing new family for opening their hearts, their home, and their beautiful land to this precious trio. ❤️

This is a long post, but we have a lot to cover—our senior crew has been keeping us on our toes lately! 💙

We had the awesome vets from Weems and Stephens out recently for some checkups and a few important follow-ups with our senior crew.

Our biggest concern right now is Barry Wayne. As many of you know, he has been managing chronic laminitis for several years. He had been doing really well, but lately he’s been more sensitive in his front feet—especially reluctant to walk on his right front—so we felt it was time for new X-rays and a closer look. We’re also addressing the possibility of an abscess. We’ve been diligently soaking his foot, and it does seem to be helping.

He got some new “front sneakers,” and so far, so good! We’re staying positive, giving him all the comfort we can, and trying this approach over the next few weeks before a recheck.

Pepper also had a recheck after a little colic/dehydration episode last week. Thankfully, with the vet’s help, she got through that hurdle beautifully. (Thank you to Dr White for coming late on a Friday night!) Her most recent bloodwork just came back looking good, she’s hydrated, and her levels are where we want them to be. She is definitely middle-aged, and her teeth are definitely showing it, so we’ll be continuing with her favorite mashed dinners! Nothing new there—and she certainly isn’t complaining.

Honey had her teeth done as well. Like Pepper, her back teeth are very worn down with age, so she’ll be sticking with her mashed-dinner diet too. Luckily, she’s already a pro at it!

That’s the latest health update from our crew. Please send all the good vibes you can muster for Barry Wayne and all of our seniors. They may need a little extra care these days, but they are absolutely worth every bit of it. ❤️

Our own Becky’s Hope Angel sent from above doing miracles! Tiny has alway been very sweet but stubborn and wants to only do things on her terms. Cowboy Bob is teaching her how to trust.
