After many wonderful years of caring for your pets, Dr. Murphey will be retiring on June 19, 2026.

We'd love for you to join us for an Open House Retirement Celebration on Friday, June 19, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Stop by to say hello, share a favorite memory, and help us wish Dr. Murphey all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter.

Dr. Murphey has been honored to care for so many beloved pets and their families over the years, and we would love the opportunity to celebrate her retirement with the people who have made her career so meaningful.

🌼 Toxic Plant of the Month: Daffodils 🌼

With spring blooms in full swing, it’s time for our next Toxic Plant of the Month feature: Daffodils!

While these bright yellow flowers are beautiful to look at, they can be dangerous for both cats and dogs if ingested. The most toxic part of the plant is the bulb, but all parts contain compounds that can cause illness.

⚠️ Signs of daffodil toxicity may include:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Drooling
• Abdominal pain
• Lethargy
• Tremors or heart rhythm abnormalities in severe cases

Curious pets may dig up bulbs or nibble on flowers while exploring outdoors, so it’s important to keep daffodils out of reach whenever possible.

If you suspect your pet has eaten any part of a daffodil, contact your veterinarian right away. Early treatment can make a big difference!

As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.
