Labor Day Closure Reminder

In observance of Labor Day, all Valley Animal Center facilities will be closed Monday, September 7.

We’ll reopen with normal operations on Tuesday, September 8, and look forward to seeing you and your pets then!

Losing their eyes didn’t mean losing their chance at a beautiful life.
When Miriam and Eustace came into our care, they were tiny, vulnerable kittens battling severe upper respiratory infections. Despite treatment, the infections caused irreversible damage to their eyes, and both kittens needed surgery to remove them.

Their journey hasn’t been easy, but Miriam and Eustace are proof that a difficult beginning doesn’t have to define the rest of an animal’s life.

They may experience the world differently now, but they can still play, cuddle, explore, and, one day, know the comfort of a loving home.

Our Did You Know? The campaign is about sharing what it truly takes to be there for animals like Miriam and Eustace. Your donations help provide the medical care, shelter, and compassion animals need during some of their most difficult moments.

Because when an animal comes to us hurting, we want to be able to say YES to giving them a second chance.

Did You Know? Abby’s Care Cost Nearly $3,000
Sweet Abby came to Valley Animal Center as a senior Chihuahua mix after being surrendered by her owner. She had already been through a big change, and on top of that, she needed a leg amputation and dental care totaling nearly $3,000.

We believe every animal deserves to feel safe, comfortable and loved, no matter their age or the cost of their care.

Thankfully, Abby got the second chance she deserved. She was recently adopted and is now spending her golden years in a happy, loving home.

Through our Did You Know? campaign, we’re sharing the real costs behind stories like Abby’s and showing how your support helps us care for animals when they need us most.

Because sometimes, $3,000 in care leads to something priceless: a happy ending.

We’re so happy to share that five dogs found their forever homes this week. That means five sweet pups are starting a brand-new chapter filled with love, comfort, and the families they’ve been waiting for.

Every adoption is more than a happy ending. It opens space for another animal in need to come through our doors and receive the care, safety, and second chance they deserve.

This September, we’re bringing back our Did You Know? campaign for its second year, giving you a closer look at what it truly takes to care for the animals who depend on Valley Animal Center.

All month long, we’ll share facts about the costs of providing food, medical care, enrichment, shelter, and other everyday necessities. But behind every number is a life, and those are the stories we’re most excited to share.

You’ll meet animals who once depended on us and are now thriving in loving homes, showing just how far your generosity can go.

Our goal is simple: to be transparent about where your support goes and show the difference you make when you give.
