Meet Chicharrón! ✨

When Chicharrón first arrived at our shelter almost a month ago, he was battling a severe respiratory infection. (See picture for his intake condition). His eyes were so swollen - our shelter team couldn’t even see his eyes for over a week!

Thanks to consistent and dedicated care from our shelter staff, medications and even syringe feeding, Chicharrón made a full recovery and he will be available for adoption starting tomorrow, September 4, 2026! 👏

The Tri-City Animal Shelter is participating in the annual nationwide Clear the Shelters event from August 1 – August 31, 2026 — a month-long campaign dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter animals in our community.

To help empty our kennels, we're offering waived adoption and microchip fees ALL MONTH LONG!

📍Adoption hours: Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm.
