🦌🦆 2026–2027 Deer & Duck Season Is Here! 🦆🦌

We want to wish everyone a safe, successful, and enjoyable hunting season! We appreciate every customer who trusts Lonely Pines Taxidermy with their trophies.

Remember, the best-looking mount starts with how you care for your animal in the field.

🦌 Deer:
• Keep the hide as clean as possible.
• Get your deer into a cold environment or freezer as soon as possible.
• When in doubt, call or text us before doing anything with your trophy.

🦆 Ducks:
• Bring a few Ziploc bags in your hunting pack.
• If you harvest a duck you plan to mount, tuck the head underneath the wing and place the bird carefully in the bag.
• Squeeze out as much air as possible and keep the bird in a safe, cool place until you can get it into the freezer or bring it to us.

We’re still working hard on mounts and appreciate your patience as we continue giving every trophy the attention it deserves.

This weekend we had the opportunity to attend the Ohio Taxidermy Association , and what an incredible experience it was! Being surrounded by some of the best taxidermists in the industry is both humbling and motivating. Also getting the opportunity to meet some new and visit with old friends. We appreciate everyone that has helped us along our journey.

We’re honored to have brought home:

1st Place – Ducks (Amateur Division)

1st Place – Fish (Amateur Division)

1st Place – Habitat Design (Amateur Division)

2nd place- whitetail (Professional division)

We also came within just 2 points of earning 1st Place in the Professional Whitetail Division. While we came up just short, that’s what competitions are all about. They challenge us to keep learning, improving, and pushing ourselves to become better taxidermists.

Every competition teaches us something new, and everything we learn comes back to our shop to provide an even higher level of quality for our customers. We never want to stop growing or striving for perfection.

A huge thank you to everyone who has trusted Lonely Pines Taxidermy with your trophies. Your support allows us to continue chasing excellence, and we can’t wait to bring what we’ve learned back to the shop.
