A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of east central Jo Daviess and Stephenson Counties through 1100 AM CDT
Instruction: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
Description: At 1017 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Stockton, or 14 miles west of Freeport, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Freeport, Lena, Stockton, Cedarville, Davis, Dakota, Winslow, Rock City, Nora, Buena Vista, Rock Grove, Oneco, Orangeville, Kent, Eleroy, Damascus, Lake Le-Aqua- na State Park, Mc Connell, Scioto Mills, and Winneshiek.

At 1017 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Stockton, or 14 miles west of Freeport, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Freeport, Lena, Stockton, Cedarville, Davis, Dakota, Winslow, Rock
City, Nora, Buena Vista, Rock Grove, Oneco, Orangeville, Kent,
Eleroy, Damascus, Lake Le-Aqua-

Details

Blustery southwest winds will continue to switch to the west and
northwest behind a passing frontal system and gust 40 to 45 MPH
at times. These gusty winds may also produce areas of blowing dust
downstream of bare agricultural fields through sunset. The dust
may result in sudden and localized visibility reductions to under
a half mile at times. If traveling in open and rural areas this
evening, make sure to slow down and exercise caution.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.
DAY ONE...TONIGHT

Isolated thunderstorms are possible through this evening.
Lightning is the primary hazard.

A Frost Advisory remains in effect for areas mainly northwest of
a line from Kahoka, Missouri to Sterling, Illinois late tonight
through daybreak on Saturday. Lows falling into the lower to
middle 30s will lead to frost concerns for sensitive vegetation.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

Isolated strong storms with gusty winds and hail are possible
Sunday afternoon, mainly south of Interstate 80.

More Thunderstorms may occur again Monday afternoon and evening.
The severe potential with these storms is still uncertain at this
time.

night into Saturday morning, where we will see temperatures in
