With all the smoke pouring into western Washington and many other areas where my Shiloh puppies live, I feel it's time to give my annual speech on letting your dogs lay out in the smoke.
DONT DO IT!!
Shilohs are genetically predisposed to Pannus, an eye disorder, which has several triggers, the most common being smoke.
If it's smokey, keep them inside as much as possible. Don't let them sleep out in it or play outside for any extended time. Quick potty breaks and get them back inside.
Pannus needs daily treatment once your dog has it, or they will lose their vision. Head off those issues and more by keeping them inside now that summer fire season is here.

Also consider the respiratory issues from smoke. Not good for you or the dogs.
Stay inside, use air purifiers if you have one, and avoid exposure to it as much as you can.
