This is where she spends most of her nights and weekends gaining experience working with up to 42 different dogs per week (mostly puppies, they are her specialty). Walking dogs with Danielle is her husband, Alf! He attended 12 weeks of puppy training at Urban Dawgs and continues to learn by Danielle talking nonstop about training! He will also be taking behavior courses with Dr. Susan Friedman as Danielle did. We currently offer walks and drop-ins M-F 9am-4:30pm. We do not do any kind of pet sitting, boarding or extended stays, BUT we have referrals so please ask! If you need help outside of our posted hours, please ask as we might be able to accommodate you although we do not guarantee it. Please note: we will not walk dogs on any kind of correction based tools. This includes shock collars, choke collars, prong collars, etc. We prefer to walk all dogs on a harness so there is no pressure applied to their neck. We use the Freedom Harness as they fit most breeds and are easy to fit and put on your dog.

It's spooky season, and the scariest thing I see daily? Zombies with their heads buried in their phones 🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️ Of all the dangers on walks, oblivious humans are at the top of the list.

I was leaving a house with a dog, closing the garage 30 feet from the sidewalk. I saw a dog coming so we waited for it to pass. Then I noticed the dog was OFF LEASH. It spotted us and headed right for us. Where was the owner? Strollin’ and scrollin’ far behind, paying zero attention.

I yelled "excuse me, come get your dog" several times. They didn't notice. "Hey! Pay attention! Get your dog!" The dog was already at my feet when they finally awoke from their fog. The weak "oh, sorry" they gave was as bad as their failed attempts to call and grab their dog. When they were FINALLY able to leash their dog? Right back to the phone.

I've been walking that particular neighborhood for a few years and am aware of several dogs that aren't the friendliest. If the dog that approached me did that to a different dog, it would have been an actual horror show.

In this situation I was able to scoop up the 4lb dog in my care. The approaching dog was also small, so fending it off had there been a problem would have been easier to do than a large dog. Have you ever had to choke a dog out that grabbed your dog's neck? I have. I highly do not recommend.

I'll never understand why people take unnecessary risks. Not only with their dogs, but with others and THEIR dogs! What if I was backing out of the driveway and didn't see the dog? What if the dog nipped or scratched me? What if I tripped over the dog, fell and broke a bone? What if I was afraid of dogs and hurt them to keep them away?

Your inattentiveness puts everyone in danger when your head is buried in your phone:
❌ You can't react in time
❌ You miss environmental hazards
❌ You miss what your dog is trying to tell you

If you are going to have the audacity to break the law and walk around entitled with your untrained dog off leash, the very LEAST you can do is pay attention.

LEASH YOUR DOGS, GET OFF OF YOUR PHONES AND PAY ATTENTION!

Hi All! Danielle here 👋🏻 It's Friday, have a little fun, will ya? Today I present a bit of a "get to know us" post! If you follow, you already know I enjoy taking logos of bands we love and make them about dogs 😁🐾

In what feels life a lifetime ago, Alf Bartone and I used to be a part of The Gaslight Anthem merch team. This was at a small company based in Branchburg, NJ founded by two of our friends, Wayne & Dave. They eventually needed more hands as the business grew, and when a friend asks for help, you help them. So that's what we did.

We were doing behind the scenes stuff like IT work, fulfilling orders and occasionally selling merch at their local shows. Nothing glamorous lol We did this up to and including the Get Hurt album. It was a bit of a roller coaster ride to say the least, but we're grateful for the experience. Eventually the band would go on hiatus, the company ceased operations and founding owner davefvision sadly passed away in 2017 🙏🏻 The ghost of the website is still around...

For a long time, Alf missed doing this kind of work. As an artist and musician himself, he loved working with bands. When the right circumstances arose, Alf decided he would learn how to screenprint and open up his own merch company INTO THE VOID Merch Co. He's been proudly and successfully up and running since 2019. That is his full time gig when he's not helping me walk the awesome dogs in our crew.

Well, with BF's new solo album that just came out, I was inspired to do a little spoof album featuring some new R+ dogcentric titles! If you're a fan you'll be able to spot some of the song titles I changed... as well as the ones I didn't!

Teaching your dogs useful life skills shouldn't feel like a chore. Playing games and using real life scenarios that seamlessly fit into your everyday is one of the best ways to learn. Having fun also keeps both you and your dogs engaged while building trust.

As you can see here, we've practiced quite a few different things that can be applied in various situations. We've also created a safe outlet for her to stalk, chase and catch prey! She's happy because she was able to fulfill some natural behaviors, and her mom is happy because we were able to burn quite a bit of energy!

We hear it all the time from both children and adults with hearts in their eyes: "OMG that dog is so cute, can I pet them?!" or "Can my dog meet your dog?!"

Sorry (not sorry), but our answer is going to be NO.

The people who hire us trust us to keep their dogs safe, happy, and well cared for. Frankly, meeting strangers on the street does not fall into the "safe" category. The dogs in our care are wonderful, sound, and social. Being on a leash removes a dog's natural flight response, creating a dynamic for things to go wrong... and quickly.

While everything might go completely fine, we're not going to take the chance and find out. We don't know your behavior history, your handling skills or your ability to assess body language. We also don't know a thing about your dog's history, triggers and even their health status.

Meeting complete strangers is a liability and a risk we simply don't take. When we say "NO", we mean it, so please do not argue or continue to ask or approach. We're just going to keep it moving and create distance. It's not because we're jerks, it's because we're being responsible with someone else's dog and this is literally our job.

Welcome back!!! I'm sure we've all seen plenty of back to school photos in our feeds. Well, we've got some furry kids that came back to walks!

While the majority of our clients are seen all year, some have careers/lifestyles that give them more time in the summer to be home spending time with their dogs. We love this!!! But we also miss them tremendously and are so happy to have these pups back in our rotation 🤗

We're super excited to see everyone again, as well as welcoming some new additions to our crew 🐾🫶🏻🎉
